I'm Impressed....update still impressed
I bought this after researching them on several websites and not wanting to pay 50 bucks for a V-cutter. I actually bought it thinking it would work okay but so far my cuts are really nice. it doesn't cut really deep V's but I am okay with that because deep v cuts can ruin the cap anyway. easy to do a double cut if needed but very impressed for the price. Ill add photo on my next smoke. Update 7-2019 still clipping sticks. The key with this cutter is to hold the cigar securely in on hand and while pressing your middle finger Knick against the back for a firm and steady cut. I actually came here to buy a second. Greatest cheap cuter I own. Actually the only one I use when I’m not punching sticks.

Soon to be your new favorite cigar cutter.
I wasn't sure what I would think of this style cutter. I have always used the guillotine or the cutter which cuts the round hole (plug cutter) in the end of the cigar. With the plug cutter it works OK but certain shaped cigars are difficult to cut. The guillotine cutter is the old standard but it wrecks the wrapper and always results in getting "debris" in your mouth. This "V" cutter cuts a nice, clean and smooth slot in the end of the cigar. It works so smoothly you can't really tell you are actually cutting the cigar. Just make sure to press the end into the cutting side (only one side of this cutter actually cuts) and it cuts a nice, clean, debris free air slot in your stogie.....This is one of those items that once you use it, you will wonder why you waited until now to actually try it and buy one........My favorite new method of cutting draw slots into my cigars.

Cheaply made but very effective. Good value for the price.
As a newb cigar smoker, I wanted to experiment with different cutting methods. I bought this as a cheap v-cut device. It is cheaply made, but very effective. For $7, it's a good value for the money. As others have mentioned, the cut is realitively shallow, so you must keep firm, consistent pressure on the cutter during the entire cutting stroke. Early on, I had to cut a couple of sticks twice as the cut was not deep enough. Once you get the technique correct, it cuts a nice, clean v through the cap and draws nicely. It's already served its purpose for me as I found I prefer the v-cut. I'll now buy a nice Colibri and keep this as a backup cutter.

Great beginning cutter!
This V-Cut is a great beginner cigar smokers, for your travel humidor or as a budget cutter. Item is accurately described and has a clean cut. It does take a little more effort than I would like, but nothing crazy or unbearable by any means. Product is mostly plastic, with a metal blade. Item gives a nice clean cut to your cigar of choice. I have used it on multiple sized cigars without issue. If I didnt have others to compare it to, I would think it was perfect. Just lacks the feel of solidity.

Cuts beautifully, and great price at $6
This is very light, but very solid. Even cut my 60 gauge Nub cigar with ease. Really enjoying the V-Cut after disliking the standard cutter shredding the tops of my cigars, and gives a better draw than using a punch. Though needed to use a punch instead for my box-pressed 60 gauge cigar. So glad I came across this and am recommending to all my cigar aficionado friends.

Sharp, but cuts very shallow
First off, this is cheap. Very cheap. Its also very cheaply made. Having said that it is sharp and cuts cleanly. The biggest problem with this cutter is that the V cut is very shallow. At least compared to better cutters. My remedy has been to cut a second time into the same path as the first, which does make it a little wider, but this is still not an ideal cut. If you want a cheap V cutter, this is a good deal, its just not a great cutter.
