Protects little fingers
My granddaughter used to constantly catch her little fingers in the door by the hinges - this prevents that from happening

I thought this would work for toddler childproofing… but maybe my toddler is more aggressive than most. He loves to slam doors and in doing so with this on, it caused the top hinge to pull out from the door frame.Good concept, but the plastic material feels like it will break if slammed on. It also allows too much free play in the door. I feel like this is better suited to keeping doors open for pets, or for a crooked door that likes to close itself. Any 2yr old toddler who likes to slam doors is going to damage your hinges the first time he attempts to push the door shut with this installed
