Much easier to use on smaller stuff than regular chainsaw
I used this little saw today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was. I own two other 'normal' chainsaws, but wanted something for the smaller stuff. It seems like a 'toy' in comparison, but cutting through smaller branches was very quick and easy, but I have to remember to manually oil regularly, and brand new chain needed a few adjustments. Decent gloves and face/head protection essential, as it can 'kick back' if not held firmly. As it can easily be used one-handed, care is needed where you put the other hand! After a couple of hours of intermittent use, (I was also using loppers & clearing other debris), my new 4.0ah battery was still showing 3 bars! Seems a great bit of kit but time will tell.

What an amazing tool.
Used this new hand held pruning saw together with an Einhell telescopic pole pruning saw I already had to pollard a mature willow tree with 2 years growth on it. I was really impressed with the performance and agility of the hand held version which I fitted with a 2.5Ah power X-change battery. I also own a power X-change angle grinder and reciprocating saw from their range and highly recommend the Einhell products for their quality, reliability and durability.

Awesome! Made short work of the overgrown tree on our allotment
We have just taken over an allotment plot that had previously been occupied by an elderly gentleman. some of the more challenging areas had got away from him, particularly a large bush / small tree near the entrance to the plot. This saw was exactly the right tool for the job. I briefly considered getting a larger chainsaw, but after using this I feel I made the right decision. This pruner can safely be used one-handed, leaving the other hand free to hold the branch you are cutting. That also means that the free hand can accidentally be poked into the cutting chain, so take care and wear gloves. The saw uses the standard Einhell Power X-change batteries common to all my other tools, which is another reason I chose it. When you have a large collection of tools, it makes a big difference if they can share batteries. The Einhell batteries seem to last ages, and the 4.0Ah one I use with this saw lasted longer than the tree. The saw will easily go through branches 2" - 50mm thick. You do need to think about the direction of the cut. It's tempting to start the cut under the branch, but the weight of the branch closes the cut and traps the blade. If you start at the top, the weight opens the cut and you can cut all the way through the branch.

Cracking little saw
I'm a big fan of Einhell products, so when my circular saw broke, mostly used for chopping small logs up, I looked to see what Einhell offered, and came across this instead. What a great bit of kit. I thought the manual oiling would be a pain, it isn't. It's so simple to adjust the chain tension, and it has a fine enough cut to not lose too much material. Plus, big plus, the interchangeable battery system with my other tools. Just brilliant.

Great lightweight pruning saw
I bought this after purchasing a chainsaw of the same brand, (as it’s one battery for all units, a real bonus) though I found the chainsaw cumbersome for pruning, this is lightweight and really easy to use. Would highly recommend it if you have trees/shrubs you need to trim.

An effective little saw
Another fine addition to my large range of Einhell tools.Admittedly so far I've only used it on a couple of hedge cutting and bridleway clearance tasks but it has proved to be most useful. Tree and rhododendron branches of several inches width have been cut easily.Although with gloves on I find pressing both switches to start the cutter is a bit awkward and I would have liked a belt clip as available on other Einhell tools. It is easy to clean and oil and uses little battery consumption so a small battery keeps the weight down. It will get a lot more use.

Great saw
Great for the branches the loppers cant manage. Easy to use.

Brilliant mini chainsaw
This is an excellent piece of kit for branches up to about 75mm which is only because of the blade size. Would recommend.
