Very loose texture, and quite a lemony tang
This organic fruit preserve is made without added sugar. The spread is made with just 3 ingredients, all of which are fruit: blueberries, concentrated grape juice, and lemon juice (as a setting agent). Each small jar is (apparently) made with 184 blueberries.I’m not sure if it’s a sign of the strength of the lemon flavour coming through, I actually quite liked this and I don’t normally like blueberries. This is also appreciably tarter than jams/conserves. Texturally this is slightly odd. It’s a very loose-set preserve that’s quite runny and there are lots of blueberry seeds running through it.Despite the fact that no sugars have been directly added the natural sugar content is still quite high as concentrated grape juice is full of sugars. This has a lower sugar content than regular jams/conserves and the similar no-added sugar Saint Dalfour, but is still much higher than fruit spreads made using artificial sweeteners/sugar alcohols – so not a swap my Dad (who is in the pre-diabetic range) can make.

Nice
First jar badly packaged and broke at the courier before delivery. Automatic refund by Amazon.Second jar is delicious and hopefully providing less sugar than jam.Very strong taste actually so you don’t need to spread on quite so much. This is useful as the jar is pretty small and consequently this is an expensive jam alternative.Good though.Added comment: the issue I’ve found is that even with storage in a fridge it starts fermenting within a couple of weeks! You cannot then eat it, so I only used a third of the jar. This makes it very expensive and says I would have been better off with normal jam spread very thinly to reduce my sugar intake. Won’t be buying again - too much of a waste.

DELICIOUS
This jam is delicious and, despite having no sugar or preservatives, is a rich colour and plenty sweet enough.

A Subtly Sweet Quality Breakfast Jam That's Expensive & May Not Pack Enough Flavour For Some
This is a well presented and quality jam that looks special when on the table.I got the blueberry version and on opening the jar I was surprised at how runny the jam was. It has a lovely deep purple colour and due to that liquidity, it was very easy to spread on the toast. In terms of taste, it isn't that sweet but instead is more subtle and feels "grown up". If I'm honest it was a bit of a disappointment as I had hoped for more of a blueberry punch from it, especially at this price point. If you don't have a sweet tooth then this jam may be more to your liking. But if like me you are after that mini sugar rush that you get from toast with jam in the morning, this may be just too subtle and not be for you.

Fruity and tasty - needs refrigeration after opening
This is essentially a mix of wild blueberries and grape juice concentrate and is runnier than normal jams. It is made with 100g of blueberries per 100g of fruit spread. Once opened it needs refrigeration. This is not the jar of jam to keep at the back of the fridge for occasional use. It is lovely if you are planning a large breakfast for a few people and want something different and fruitier. Or if you are making a quick cheesecake. Best eaten soon after it is opened. But it can be kept in the cupboard until you need it - mine had a best before date almost three years ahead. It contains 38g of natural fruit sugars per 100g.Quite expensive but nicely made and tasty - a treat.

Delicious! So fruity and healthier than jam.
Il FruTeto Italia blueberry spread is delicious and completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve never tasted anything like it.As it contains no pectin, it’s a spread not a jam so it’s quite runny and you only need a small amount. It has no added sugar so it is lower calorie than jam - the blueberry spread is 162kcal per 100g whereas jam is around 278 kcal.It goes lovely on toast, bread, crackers or biscuits - it’s so nice I was tempted to eat it straight out of the jar. It’s not overly sweet or tarty; it’s perfectly blueberry. You can taste the quality in every mouthful. It’s quite expensive at £5.99 per jar (at the time of review) but it’s definitely worth it for an occasional treat.
