I bought this originally when I wage war wasps. However, it cam in handy when I needed to investigate possible bees on my property. It is still nerve racking to hear bees swarming all around you. One bee tried to sting me several times, but was not successful. I was able to get somewhat close to the bees to see that they were underground beneath a bush. You might want to wear a hat underneath this jacket to keep it off of your neck. I wore a ball cap backwards. It does get hot while wearing the jacket, so stay properly hydrated! This is a good quality jacket made of heavy canvas and a t a great price. I would recommend this jacket to anyone, and I would buy it again. Toodle loo buckaroos, pip pip cheerio, and all that.

It's a very solid jacket and veil - no worries about getting stung and it feels like it should last a good long time. I'm very happy with the quality. Zippers are nice and sturdy. The raw canvas look is off white/ tan colored and looks very nice. This is a heavy duty jacket, so you will be very warm in it and probably very sweaty if it's hot out - but beekeeping is usually hot and sweaty anyhow.I'd recommend this if you're looking for a good quality jacket at an excellent price.

I'm new to bee keeping thing. I feel that this half suit is well designed. It's sturdy in the hood area, tight zipper points keep the bee's out and is sized appropriately. I would recommend this half suit to anyone and will most likely be buying another one for my wife.

Bought this used and was very happy. The supplier included 2 extra hoods at no extra cost! Bought this for the husband and have used this jacket a few times, it's definitely durable as we have found stingers in it after he took it off, bit did not penetrate through. With that durability though it is not lightweight. We are only out tending to the bees about 20 minutes at a time, but you definitely work up a sweat in the summer heat. Would definitely buy again!
