Put another one under the tool shed( another favorite spot). Day 3 saw just one
Did the job. Had 4 to 5 groundhogs in my backyard, getting braver by the day, coming under the deck, by the patio furniture. I put o e double bar in the tunnel, wear disposable gloves and long sleeves and pants. Pushed it down the tunnel with a long stick fallen from the tree. Put another one under the tool shed( another favorite spot). Day 3 saw just one, the tunnel exit dug out again, although I had put rocks at the entrance and covered it. Day 3 put another "candy bar", a few days after hole dug out again, but no groundhogs anymore!!! I keep checking every day but not one single one! I am very happy to have spend the money on this product, gas him s did not work last year and from 2 we ended up with 4 to 5. Luckily their demise was underground. We had these groundhogs for 3 years, a neighbor took matters into their hands and reduced the population last year butr now it was just too much!!very good product, totally worth it!

This is working for me. Easy to put in the ground hog holes.
It says for gophers. I am using it for ground hogs. I do not have a body count. However, the trails appear not being used. The grass is growing up again. I purchased another bucket, because I think it is working. Yes, I had what I consider a lot of ground hogs. We have little kids in this neighborhood. I would feel very bad if a kid got bit by a ground hog because of rabies concerns. I cannot tell one from ground hog from another. I tried live traps. This works much better than that.

Gopher management that works!
I spent over one-thousand dollars and countless hours over a six year period trying to eliminate the gophers and moles in my yard with ZERO success until I purchased this Pocket Gopher bait Block. What I found effective was to locate the tunnel near a mound of dirt; determine the direction they came from; using a shovel, dig a block of turf out to gain easy access to the tunnel; use a half-bar (a block is two bars) or a full-bar if I found a home-hole; dabbed some peanut butter on the end of the bar; insert the bar and replace the block of turf I removed. This worked for me - after about two months of diligent work my 3/4 acre lot is now gopher free (I used to have 7 to 10 fresh mounds and visible tunnel paths each week). I keep this product on hand for their spring and fall migrations and as soon as I see a mound, I use the process outlined above. What was once a daily war is now a one or two spots, twice a year. I will never eliminate these pests - no one every accomplishes that, but with the Pocket Gopher Bait blocks and a little peanut butter, they are very much under control.

They work, but Slowly.
They work - but they take a while to kill. This is the first time I've used anticoagulant bait, which takes 5-10 days to kill the rodent since they must continue to eat the poison for it to work. This probably explains why the blocks are so big. I'm used to using Strychnine bait, which kills in a day or two, and is easier to pour down a little hole. For these to work you must work a big section of the ground open to fit the block, and just putting a small amount of poison (like with Strychnine bait) probably won't work. The nice thing is, I can re-open the hole after a day and see if they ate the bait. With the Strychnine bait, I never knew for sure until the gopher activity stopped.

It took back to back Saturdays of digging to find ...
It took back to back Saturdays of digging to find gopher tunnels to bait and then a few weeks for the gophers to die after eating the bait. I have a yard slightly larger than an acre and put a total of 33 baits in lots of tunnels. I think all the gophers originally in my yard are dead. There are still gophers in my neighbors yards, and some will unfortunately eventually migrate to my yard.

How to solve your gopher problem in 10 days.
We used to have over 20 gophers on our two acre property. I started with vibrating stakes with little success. We moved on to spring traps and I got eight of them but it took a long time and a lot of work. Then I found this Answer bait and I quickly got the rest of the gophers. This product works really well. It takes around 10 days or so but it does the job. I didn't use peanut butter because that attracts ants. It worked fine without it. I used a probe to find a service tunnel near a mound and slid half a block one way and half a block another way in the tunnel. I used a piece of cardboard to cap the hole and filled in the top with the mound dirt. Problem solved!

This stuff really works
This is the most effective pocket gopher bait on the market. In the 5 years I’ve been using it, on literally hundreds of gopher tunnels, it has never failed to work, though some situations take multiple tries.

Work!
Works well. Works even better with a little peanut butter added.
