It just works...perfectly
I'm impressed with the quality of the build. The seams and components all look to be decent quality. My initial test of the sensor had me worried, as it took about 5-8 seconds to kick in, but I suppose that is for minimizing false starts/runs. The pump works well in moving the water from my test. Now for using it in real weather... I needed this to be portable, so I used an old bucket, drilled about 40 3/8 inch hold into it, then wrapped a 1/4 inch screen over the top to keep leaves out. The power cord was specified in the documentation, and while I'm sure I looked at it, was surprised at the length.

Sump pump doesn't start or stay-on properly
I've had this punp for almost 1 year and it hasn't worked properly from day one. When it pumps, it pumps fine, but getting it to go on automatically is a joke. It has worked one or two days in a row, and then no more. I juggle it and juggle it to get it going while I'm getting soaked in the rain. It has gotten worse, now I go out and juggle it and get it going; it only pumps for a few minutes. I have checked everything I can think of...it's level, it clear of debris and I have even changed the "float" positions to all 4 settings. Nope. I'm looking now to buy a different brand.

Great pump, terrible shipping on Amazon's part.
Arrived with broken pieces and unfortunately I didnt open it until after the return period had passed. Worked well even with the broken pieces for about 10 days then locked up. Spoke with the manufacturer and he was super nice. Was willing to send parts or a replacement if Amazon wouldn't replace but I have to fix a drainage issue before a pump will keep up with my water problems. And I'm not gonna gig the manufacturer for Amazons crappy shipping. Pump sent alot of water out while it was working and I will buy another one when I finish my drainage system. Seemed a little loud when pumping but could've been because it was already defective from shipping. Really moved a ton of water fast.

Update sensor needs cleaned periodically
The pump worked great for about 6 months. Then it started intermittently shutting off when there was still water over the sensor.I verified impeller was moving freely, intake was not blocked, discharge was into 2 inch pvc, etc.Almost seems like its going into a thermal protect shut down.I will reach out to the manufacturer and see how they handle this warrany item. It is less than 1 year old and the manual states a 2 year warranty.Manufacturer stated likely issue is water sensor needed cleaned. I cleaned with a little steel wool and it now works as designed. Other than this issue which now I know about unit works great. Updated rating to 5 star.Update: 09/09/23 - The cleaning of the sensor is becoming a pain. I think it is getting degraded. I will probably look at retrofitting a standard float to this pump, as the pump works great, its just the sensor that is unreliable and of coarse this occurs during the worst of storms! (Moved to 4 stars)

Works Very Well!
The pump works very well. It self-primes if you give it a little while and pumps like crazy!! The water level sensor turns on when the water reaches it and turns off after it has a little time to "dry off". So the level sensor verdict is still somewhat out...and I'll report more on it after I have had a chance to see how well it turns off when the water level drops. Good value for the money...and because it is stainless steel it really looks good. Good materials and workmanship.

Very poor quality pump. Rust collects on water sensor and needs a clean up every month
This is a very poor quality sump pump. Its water sensor gets covered with rust and the pump stops working, I have to clean it up every month which is a real pain, I have to take it out of the basement hole in the ground, clean it up and reinstall it. A 100 dollar Home Depot sump pump worked in the same place for seven years without any cleanup or issues. Cleaning a pump every month is a serious problem.

So far, this pump and sensor is working as described in ad!
I like that it sucks plenty of water quite quickly and that it is very whisper quiet. I live in Hawaii where many of us in outlying areas rely on rain water filtered through a whole house filtering system to acquire our water usage. I have mounted this pump near the top of my 10,000 gallon catchment tank where I collect rain water from my roof via the gutters, and then over to the tank. When my tank overfills during the rainy season, the water backs up in my gutters and spills on to my surround lanai (outdoor porch). The pump will toss excess water out of the tank preventing it from causing a backup upon my gutters. How's that for an exotic use!

Float switch does not always work and there are no instructions or troubleshooting instructions.
Poerful motor. Does a good job.
