Delivery was prompt, product arrived in good condition.The adaper, I believe, is made from aluminium with a grey powder coating that gives it a rubbery feel.I would have liked the adapter to have an actual rubber/foam gasket sitting inside the frame where the camera rests, as some small scratches have now appeared on the edges of the Akaso's display.Some slight stripping occurred on one of the screws when I mounted the camera the second time, which is why I now leave the bracket permanently attached to the frame.The view screen is unobstructed and the camera is well balanced even before activating the gimbal. (In my case the Ubeesize stabilizer gimbal).The shutter button is partially blocked by the bracket, but still accessible. Using the wristband remote that comes with the Akaso solves that problem.Looking forward to shooting some video with this setup during our summer vacation.

This adapter plate gets the job done. On the upside, it will work with most action cameras that take after the GoPro. I used mine with a GitUp 3 on my vacation and it worked well.On the downside, the brass mounting screws are, well, brass... and that could become a problem down the road. Brass is just too soft for something that needs to be assembled and disassembled every time you use it. Time will tell how well this will hold up. In the meantime I am cautiously optimistic. Still, for the price it's pretty hard to beat.

Not a terrible product but the screws can not be fastened by hand . You have to use a pair of pliers . Which for an action cam that you want to travel with . It is not practical . Sadly as much as I wanted this to work . I will probably never use it . It was not expensive so not upset about it . Just kind of a waste of money .

This works perfectly with my Hohem smartphone gimbal. Now you only need one gimbal for your gopro type cameras and your smartphone. Great buy.

Will not work properly with android and that is unfortunate. It seems like a great product.

This Gimbal adapter is too heavy for the Shiyun smooth 4 and the mounting bracket has just holes that do not mate with the screws provided. Had to use pliers to mount and tighten GoPro securely (potentially may damage your GoPro if not done properly). This adapter causes the motor to work really hard to keep its balance and fast movement cause the gimbal to completely give up. Would not recommend at all.
