Updated review
As a lebanese person, this zaatar is different from the one I grew up eating. To be honest, at first I wasn't a fan but as I tried again and it grew on me. I doubled my order recently. Out of all the zaatar I ordered and tried this is by far the closest I was able to get to the one my mom makes back in Lebanon ( she harvests the wild thyme on our property and drys them under the sun on our roof mixes with sumac, sesame seeds and salt. Then she adds unfiltered olive oil from our olive trees..yummyyy) Order this product you will not be disappointed. Also the customer service is excellent.andThe reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it is edible but it's bland and does not taste like zaatar at all. They should revisit the flavor and please oh God please no oregano!! There s no oregano in the lebanese zaatar. U add oregano to increase the production volume while keeping price low because thyme is expensive. Disappointing because they claim they are Lebanese yet they can get the right flavor

Horrible - Like eating sesame seeds drenched in oil
I loved their of the Mother-Son Duo. Seeing the positive reviews I was excited to try the product; boy was I let down. I've grown up eating Za'atar and Manaish. Manaish is when you take the Za'atar and put in on fresh baked flat bread. Za'atar is usually thyme, sumac, and sesame seeds. Sommetimes there is Marjoram, Oregano, Paprika, and Salt added. You spread on bread or dough with a drop or two of olive oil and walla; an amazing savory vegan pizza. For those that ated this product high you probbaly never had real Za'atar before. For thoe that are accustomed to real Za'atar and manaish this will dissapoint. 1. There is so much oil. 2. The oil does not taste like good quality EVOO 3. You can barely taste sour tasting sumac. All I taste is sesame seeds in cheap oil. I tried a teaspoon and got nauseated. Again. Za'atar should be sumac, sesame seeds, and thyme with a few drops of EVOO; maybe some sea salt and paprika for heat.Again if you never had Za'atar or manaish before you might find this product interesting and maybe even delicious. If you grew up eating Za'atar and manaish then you will be disgusted and throw in the trash like I did.

mixed experience
While the item tasted good, a lot of the item's weight came from olive oil, it's not Zaatar spice but rather olive oil infused with spice -- this was not clear from the listing and I expected the spice itself. Not only I don't eat non-orgainic olive oil in massive quantities as in this item, I feel I wasted money buying one hell of expensive zaatar spice for more than what I'd pay for the spice alone.

BUY IT!
Needing this for a special recipe, I bought a couple of other brands. But each lacked the depth of flavor I was looking for. THIS ONE filled all of my expectations. I've re-ordered already, and will continue to do so. Amazon, you better keep this item in stock. :=)

Bland - no flavor
Was Excited to try this but not a fan. The flavor is just not there / quite bland. The grainy texture could use a bit of a refinement too though some may like it, so to each his own. There are better versions out imo there so check em out too.

YUMMO!!
Love that it is already in oil. This spice blend is what I've been missing in my life. Decided to buy some after watching Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat on Netflix.
