This is a sturdy and good-sized ladle I expect will last for generations. Downside is the hook that catches on everything but that might be a bonus for other users!

The reason I give it 3 stars is only for the fact that they didn’t include a nail or screw to attach the wooden handle to the metal piece. lol I think that should be a given for a ladle. Now it was easy, considering, I had a screw at home but I really was just expecting the piece to to be attached already overall, pretty good.

Most ladles have the handle coming straight up from the bowl of the ladle. This means you are always directly in front of the product you are scooping; which keeps you in the splatter and spill zone. From canning experience I know that a hot splatter of soup can cause you to jerk and dump the remaining ladle full of soup on yourself. The Tenta Ladle has the handle set at an angle from the bowl ! This keeps you out of the splatter zone and is SO much more comfortable to use. You don't need to ladle posed like a praying mantis anymore LOL ! The description states "gravy ladle", but this is a Full Size kitchen ladle, very sturdy and well made.

No, but I had hoped. My niece makes sangria loaded with fruit in a huge 2.5 gallon mason-like jar. I purchased this to serve up sangria! Sadly, the ladle is too wide for the jar. However, it is a source of countless amusements and is well-made. Now if they would only make one this long with a much smaller scoop.

I was tired of my ladles falling in my large pots. This 20 inch handle is perfect for my large pots. No more scooping out ladles. The weight is sturdy and comfortable. The handle's thickness is perfect and easy on the wrist while pouring food into containers. Easy to clean. I would recommend.

personally this is one of the most delightful purchases I have made in a while. Though small in size it leaves a big footprint for my taste. Wonderful balance, bowl holds exact amount for whatever I am ladling. Soups, sauces, gravies, it knows lol. I am able to 'balance' the amount I need. Minimal dripping. Easy to clean. Has tolerated my son leaving in water for hours without any change in appearance. Have not and do not plan to place in dishwasher. (guess it my age) am most pleased with this purchase, it is balanced for my hand and the angle of the handle created no discomfort to hand/wrist when using. Looking forward to many years of "ladling"

It is sturdy enough, 4oz size is OK for serving I need.
