Bought this to test how effective the reverse osmosis system in our apartment is. Seems to be really accurate! Can't stop now, checking every water source I can, including water filters at work. Really useful and fun tool!

I'm returning this item right after I write this. Completely inaccurate. The readings I took with the PPM meter on the same water sample had a difference of over 300 from one second to the next. The degree F readings are always in the 40 degree range (the instructions even show readings int he 40's) The degree C works. If you move the meter in the water sample the reading changes.Don't buy this piece of junk.

Works great, I wanted a TDS meter to be able to check the quality of my local distilled water and this one works really good. First test I did was measuring my tap water (300+ ppm), filtered water (200+ ppm) and Acadia distilled water from stop and shop (only 2 ppm!!) I'm excited to measure my own distilled water in a few days - I'm waiting for my megahome water distiller.

Received this today and have discovered very interesting things about the "Whole House Filter" in the house we just moved into... the filter seems to fairly worn out.Of course, I have no way to ensure this is absolutely accurate. When I first opened it, I tested some bottled water (Aquafina) which read very, very low, about 5 or 6. Then some water that supposedly comes from a spring and got a 148 reading. Water from the tap is in the 470 to 520 area and water collected from the sprinklers out front (that therefore did not pass through the whole house filter) is in the 580 area. In other words, the meter seems to be working and is probably reasonably accurate.Very simple to use. Came out of the box reading temperature in Centigrade... didn't even have to look at the manual to get it in Fahrenheit. To take a reading, turn it on and insert in water. Read the display. Push the hold button if you wish.Overall, quite happy with this little gadget. I'm installing an RO filter with a re-mineralizer as I type this review; it will be interesting to get some readings from the output of that filter, both before and after the re-mineralizer.

The delivery was exellent. I bought two of those and upon arrival I tested both of them in the same water and the two have different readings almost with a difference of 40 bbm. I TRIED TO CALIBRATE THEM, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO WAY FOR CALIBRATION!!!!

Awesome little meter and at this price, you can't go wrong. Displays accurate and consistent readings.

Little pen is a great value. PPMS I know are on point and the ec I dont know much about as im used to ppms but i figured I could learn.
