Under Cabinet Mounted Cookbook Holder

In this day and age of cutting corners to lower costs, it's nice to see a high-quality, well-made product that's built here in the USA. Yes, it's more expensive than many of the other options you see out there. In this case though, I can say that you 100% get what you pay for. All the functional pieces are hardwood (oak I believe), and the fasteners are metal and feel solid when latched. The color is fairly true to what you see in the pictures. The design is clever and feels rock-solid. I'm always looking for ways to clear up counter space, and this is an absolute winner in that regard. I also have the spice rack that is built by the same folks, which is very nearly the same in construction, and it works like a champ as well. Couldn't be happier.Mounting this is also a breeze. I eyeballed it underneath the cabinet, installed 4 screws through the pre-drilled holes, stuck on the light, and bam. Done. Grand total of about 5 minutes. I used 1-3/4" drywall screws (lost the ones that came with it) which worked perfectly without needing to be spaced or trimmed.The only drawback that I can possibly see is that the light is on the cheap side, but it does work as advertised. I only question it's durability over time. I guess I could pick up another one for 5 bucks or so if it came down to it. Not a big deal at all.

I live in Manhattan and have a laughably small amount of kitchen counter space and only one drawer. After scouring the internet and the deepest corners of my brain I had an idea to use this cookbook holder as a silver ware tray. I bought the Madesmart Interlocking Drawer Organizer Bins to divide the silverware and it's as perfect as I could have imagined.You can absolutely tell that this is extremely high-quality workmanship and quality materials - the kind of thing people say proudly "this is how things USED to be made."To make things better, the guy who makes these cookbook holder is the coolest guy ever. Amazon sent me the product and due to shoddy packaging, the product broke in transit. I contacted Ron directly and he fixed the problem immediately. I sent him pictures of the broken holder which he said he could use to show Amazon to fix the problem.Such an awesome experience making me love my tiny kitchen that much more.(P.S. - I found that Ron sells his products on Etsy too - shop name: SpiceRacksandmore)

this made a great gift for my wife and she loves and uses it constantly.Some minor negatives:Does not accommodate the very large old type of cookbooks but all modern ones fit nicely.Light is very nice but the supplied adhesive does not hold so a little dab of Shoe Goop adhesive solved that.Sides of the holder will look unfinished to some, but do not bother us.Well built and easy to use.

Does not fit exactly under our cabinet despite measuring it prior to ordering. One needs a few extra inches for the thing to "back up" when taking it down or up. Otherwise, we have it next to our stove under the cabinet and it is convenient for storing cookbooks and recipes when not in use. I'm always setting down a recipe somewhere and losing it while cooking, so this helps. Seems sturdy so far.

We purchased the shelf to clean up the counter from charging devices and cords. Easy to install under the cabinet. I used velcro on my multiport charger and stuck it near the top back of the shelf. Now we just plug in our phone and lay it inside the shelf. When we are done, we just push the shelf up. Cleaned up the counter.

Good rack, but I expected a light. instructions mentioned a light, but no light included.

Exactly what we wanted. Works great.

I like it because I have little to no counter space and I love to cook. The dome light hole is off center, and that bugs my husband, but I don't mind. Also, if you're drilling into a thin bottomed cabinet, you might want to do through bolts instead. I like that it holds heavy cookbooks, but it could be wider.
