EccotempEccoFlo Diaphragm 12V Water Pump and Strainer Black

This pump works great. We used it for our shower when we had one. (We've learned that getting a Planet Fitness Black Card allows both of us to shower in most cities for $24/month. We can 'wash up' at our sink when were not near a Planet Fitness, and we have A LOT more room without the shower!)We use it for our sink now. It's self priming and won't burn out if we run out of water. Pretty good pump.

Works like the factory pump

The media could not be loaded.  Using this as feeder for propane tankless water heater. Which has a max output of 1.6 GPM. At that pressure, this pump really struggles. the pipes start shuddering, which is transmitted to the heater as a loud buzzing noise. I conclude this because when I make pressure adjustments using the heater's pressure dial, the shuddering recedes. But then there is too much flow, and the water comes out tepid. Considering that EccoTemp specifically lists tankless heaters as applicable to this pump on their website (though not on this Amazon listing) , I am giving this a 1/10.The attached video shows my setup that demonstrates this. I turn on the water, the pump starts, and sounds fine at higher GPM. When I reduce the GPM, the shuddering of the pipes, and the noise is quite evident.

I found that the provided fittings leak easily and you have to be very careful to not over tighten these or you will strip the threads. Don't use any metal fittings with this unit or you will strip the threads. The pump itself is quite powerful

Use this attached to our EccoTemp LP water heater shower unit. Pump lasted less than eight uses then shorted inside with wiring on the inside casing. Piece of garbage. Moving over to Shurflo or Flojet. Go with a name brand.

Failed on day two. Took it apart a few weeks later. The motor had seized. Ecotemp products are CRAP!

Love, love, love this pump. We use it to pump water from a 30 gal tank on a car carrier at our remote farm. It hooks right up, works fast and is easy to take apart. The solder connection on one of the battery clips had worked loose, and since I wanted a longer 12v cord with a fuse and switch, it wasn't an issue.Our tank had accumulated a lot of algae which was floating in the water. The strainer accumulated a bunch of it quickly, which protects the pump. I did drain the tank and scrub it out, so we're just pumping fresh water. If you have anything yucky, you'd probably be well off to do a pre-filter bag tied over the strainer end.For an RV application, or an outdoor shower like on the manufacturer website, this pump would definitely give you a great water flow.

Vor einem Jahr hatten wir den Durchlauferhitzer Eccotemp L5 gekauft. Doch der Wasserdruck (Wassertank am Dach] war zu gering und die Enttäuschung dementsprechend groß. Nun haben wir die Eccotemp-Pumpe besorgt, per Gardena die Schläuche angeschlossen – Strom kommt von einer Autobatterie. Hurra, jetzt gibt es auch im Wochenendhaus warmes Wasser. Die Eccotemp-Pumpe springt an, wenn über die Handbrause Wasser nachgefragt wird, und arbeitet (bisher) zuverlässig und geräuscharm. Eccotemp-Durchlauferhitzer und -Pumpe sind ein feines Ensemble.

I have an outdoor shower at the lake that uses the Eccotemp pump to draw water from a tank and flows through my Eccotemp propane water heater. I'm now on my 3rd Eccotemp pump in 4 years. Last two pumps just stop working. I took the last one apart and unable to find any parts that would require replacement i.e. fuses or rusted wires.
