WAY BETTER THAN H2OCEAN AQUATAT! DOES NOT PULL INK FROM SKIN
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was using H2Ocean’s Aquatat until I read the ingredients and realized it’s pretty much expensive A&D! It contains petroleum and lanolin which are both known for pulling ink from the skin before its healed completely! It’s okay to use after the tattoo is healed but not right away while it’s totally fresh. I found tattoo goo and I love it! Small container but a little goes a long long way and it makes my fresh tattoo look great. I also know that I’m not putting anything on my skin that’s going to harm my new tattoo or pull out ink and make it patchy!! Thank you tattoo goo! I’ll be using you for forever :)

keeps new tattoos hydrated, relatively itch free
I have a rather large piece in progress on my arm. One thing I HAAAAAATE in this process is the scaling and flaking and appearance of well, a diseased looking arm all the while watching a bit of color fade from my new, expensive ink. I've used everything over the years from A+D, to others like aquaphor - those have their place in the first few days, but Goo is where its at for the rest of the recovery process. It is thick, so you need only a little to cover a large surface area. It doesn't clog pores - you really have to overdo it for that. It will hydrate your skin, keeping it intact, colors rich and prevents itch.Would definitely recommend.

Healed quickly and cleanly. Smells nice too!
I got this chest and sleeve piece done in 4 x 3 hour sessions in 2 weeks. This photo was taken at 5 weeks after the initial outline session.Tattoo goo, paired with a good tattoo artist makes for great healing. No scabbing, minimal peeling, eases itching and moisturizes for prolonged periods.

Best aftercare balm ever
Ill never use another product but this on my tattoos!!! It is the absolute best. Ive used it for 2 full sized rib tattoos and I experienced almost 0 scabbing or peeling for either. Kept my skin super moisturized and flexible so it didnt hurt during healing. You can use this on a totally fresh tattoo and you dont have to worry about any irritation. I bought the small tin and I still have a ton left over for my next ones, as a little but goes a long way. Plus its just nice to put on my older tattoos to give them a little TLC.

This tin was not sealed when it arrived!
I received this quickly (in a huge envelope I may add) but it was not sealed in any way so I have no idea how long the tin has been exposed to air or whether anyone has touched it! I was expecting a seal around the edge of the tin and there wasn't one which makes me very skeptical about using this cream which I need to start using on Thursday. It looks untouched but how can I be sure and how do I know if it's been opened for months or not??

Good but not convinced to switch
Used for tattoo aftercare. I usually use Aquaphor which also works very well but I was wanting to try something different. It did seem to keep my skin more moisturized than Aquaphor. Aquaphor does a better job or creating a barrier if you have a tattoo where it has to come in contact with clothing. I was not a fan of the smell of this but I did not have any reaction despite having skin allergies. I don't particularly care for tins/tubs of formula that you have to dig into. Aquaphor comes in a tub as well as a tube. I would probably go back to Aquaphor once I'm out of this.

best tattoo aftercare product!
I have used tattoo goo for every one of my 11 tattoos, and I love it so much. i have tried redemption and some white lotions and nothing compares to tattoo goo. it is buildable, which is great, because some aftercare moisturizers are too think and clog your pores and attract dirt and other stuff to the tattoo area. this doesn't! amazingly, not much sticks to it even when you layer it up on the tattoo. the smell is also really nice, not obnoxious or anything. i always have to have this on hand! i will never use anything else!

Nothing better out there.
Take it from someone who has had many many hours under the needle that this stuff is simply the best you can get. I have many other tattoos as well. I’ve tried several other balms and nothing compares. My favorite thing is the smell which is just like the green soap they use in the shop. Second favorite thing is how light it is. It doesn’t cling to your clothes nearly as bad as the others. You can barely tell it’s even on. Heals beautifully. I was skeptical to get this larger can at first as several reviews say that it’s not the same as the smaller cans. I’m here to tell you that it IS the same stuff. These cans last soooo much longer.

Great for healing tattoos and long lasting
I've used this for all of my tattoos in the first couple of weeks for healing. I wouldn't say it revives old tattoos, but it certainly helps promote healing. Its quite greasy and waxy, and you don't need much so it lasts a good I'd say maybe 2 months depending on the size of the piece, using it 3 times a day. Weirdly though, my dog seems to have taken quite a liking to it......something to be wary of on a healing tattoo! (I've started reviewing products I buy purely because it really annoys me, all those reviews with I got this for free for an honest review. I hope this helps!)
