Expect assistance maybe. Not clean
Firstly, purchased this Robot’s cousin: Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner (Mopping & Sweeping) Strong Suction, Smart Sensors, Self-Charging, Good for Pet Hair, Carpets, Tile, Hard FloorsNamed him Deen. It was either try this or hire someone again. Assisting with German shepherd hair. In the room where he sleeps. When his Maine Coon mix buddy moved in thought it time to add, ‘Keen’. This different, but same brand robot.Accepting there were a few differences upon research. Totally okay upon order because Keen would be in a different room. Basically a square space with wood flooring and a very short 5x7 carpet. Only about 1/4 inch thick. Thought if Deen does so great in a room with lots of variables his cousin Keen with a different broom could handle a basic room in one shape.Keen was remotely asked to clean the room. Although swept, some dog shed was intentionally left. Sparsely. But still there. The major difference between the two cleaners, Deen and Keen, is Keen has long nylon strands. Bunches together. In four bunches equally distributed around on each of two attached tiny brooms that rotate.Unfortunately, Keen isn’t able to remove most of the hair from the wood. Keen actually spreads out the hair. Now, it’s everywhere. This is after watching Keen go over the same spaces multiple times. After multiple passes over the flat carpet, there’s very little difference here either.Prior to releasing Keen to clean the floor used a Swifer to make sure to get most dust and hairs up that fell. Also, swept the flat carpet with a straw broom. Wanted to leave a little for Keen or I’d of vacuumed first with a Bissel pet vacuum. What’s needed from this little robot is maintain clean. Not make it clean without first having a tidy floor. Keen’s not able to handle very little loose hair.Compared to the first robot, Deen, this vacuum assistant doesn’t appear to do very much.Another issue that’s a royal pain in the butt is how much time is spent to service the vacuum at least every other day. Why? Dog hair bunches up in the rear rotating sweeper. It’s also stuck in the sides of the rotater. Scissor is needed. The little maintenance gadget doesn’t handle this removal either. Also, with my long blonde hair that sheds less, but still falls out as does any length of human hair. Strands of my own hair also wrap around all three sweepers. Requiring prompt removal.Daily, the tray needs empty and swept out with the cleaning gadget. This is a super dusty dirty task.Honestly, it’s a super hassle to set the timer and do the floor daily. Mainly because daily it takes me as much time to clean the robot. As it does to swifer or vacuum. My best hope is this becomes an automatic dust buster. Because so far it’s not able to gather most random dog hair that drops. Even when I’m swifering. It merely smears things around. Creating a German Shepherd floor covering of another kind.If it were possible to remove the longer broom spinners that appear to not pick up anything. Rather pushing things around. I’d add Deen’s two spare shorter with more bunches of sweeper strands.Guessing the company replaced Keen’s brooms in their update with Deen’s because of the results I’ve received.Perhaps, this cleaner does work for some. As the reviews share. For the hard wood oak floor and thin carpet here it’s not been a big success.Deen’s worth the money and time it takes to clean him. Keen doesn’t do the job, so cleaning this cousin robot feels like more work. Not less. If I want things actually fully clean it’s easier to sweep and been done

Impressed!
I bought this vacuum approximately two weeks ago. I intentionally waited to write a review in order to see how it would go over a period of time. Well the answer is, I’m impressed especially with the sweeping function. I tried the mopping function and it’s not something I would use again. It’s such a small tank and it really doesn’t do a good job. However, the sweeping is great! For two weeks at the end of each week I tested how well it did by bringing out my regular sweeper. The regular sweeper hardly had anything in it.. very minimal! So this tells me the robot vacuum is doing a great job! I have four cats and a dog and sweeping every day is necessary. This has been a life saver! It goes on laminate and rugs. It basically bounces around and eventually gets everything. It usually goes back to the ducking station as well, but once in a while it gets lost. The one thing that is important is that you make sure it is clean and free of hair and debris often or it has a hard time ‘seeing’.. and it may not see the magnetic strip or ledges.. it comes with all you need to keep it clean. Just make sure you do often!

Comparing it to roomba 960
ReviewThe robot is amazing considering the price. I didn’t have high expectations for it. I currently have a roomba 960. The robot runs great. It doesn’t talk to you if it is stuck or needs emptied like the roomba does. I still haven’t mastered the remote but it seems obsolete since it works perfectly without it.This robot Is not as user friendly as far as figuring out everything, however it is more streamlined and fits under my dressers and nightstands which the roomba doesn’t. Although it appears like it came assembled from China, it feels and appears like German engineering. It’s very pretty, sleek black glass like a ceramic cooktop which is a nice touch. It goes home without a problem. It vacuums linoleum, tile and carpet without a problem. It goes into all rooms in a large open floor plan one story home. A big bonus to me is that the trash bin fully opens up making it easier to clean. It operates very much like the roomba 960. However, it appears like it is doing a random pattern instead of straight lines but it still picks everything up. I am truly amazed, when comparing this robot it does so much more. My roomba gets stuck when going over the lip of my sliding door, this robot does not. This robot also goes up into the high pile rug where as the roomba would not since it was so high. I am extremely impressed. I have been using it for a month now. The only feature this robot doesn’t have that I wish it would is edge cleaning. (Maybe once I master the remote I’ll find that feature too) It’s an awesome machine and I haven’t even tried the mop option yet. This makes a great gift, I would definitely purchase without hesitation again! Ive already been recommending it to friends and family.
