A Christmas gift

It’s hard to find a sewing box that really holds a lot. I would have liked a couple small covered sections for pins and needles, which tend to fall out of the sections. And they should include instructions on assembly. There’s not much but it took me a minute to figure it out. Otherwise, I really like the trays, room for scissors and larger tools and the overall design is excellent. It is also durable and doesn’t crack like the old plastic sewing boxes.

Much better than the old sewing baskets!

Seems this is the only kind of sewing box you can get these days. It works, more or less, but is made of very cheap plastic with even cheaper plastic inserts. Sigh.

I like this product however I have had it sent twice and it has arrived broken both times....the second time there was no padoing in the box at all!

Really like the size! It’s strange having the bulky items at the top, but there isn’t another way it could have been designed.Comparing it to my 1970s sewing “basket”, it’s a far better, less fragile plastic, but doesn’t hold as much, in a larger footprint.My pin tomato and magnetic pin holders have to go in the top area, which is open through the bottom of the scissor slots.I really like the scissor slots - much better than just tossing them in the basket.The individual compartments can be used on their own (for classes, etc). They have some lengthwise dividers in them and crosswise dividers are provided, so the areas can be customized. The compartments aren’t very tall, so, for example, my large pin tomato doesn’t fit. The bobbin insert is cheap plastic, so I expect they’ll all pop out, every time I open that compartment.All in all, having seen many sewing cases, in quilting and sewing classes, this is a comparatively large and usable case. It’s a reasonable replacement for my “vintage” one.
