This thing is the real deal. I've been putting off buying a robot vacuum for ages because I've always seen them as a gimmick (I didn't even realise they mopped too these days) but I took the plunge on a deal and I couldn't be happier.Our house is probably the nightmare scenario for a robot vacuum, it's an 1800s building with no square walls, different floor heights, ancient uneven flagstones, beams and posts in odd places and a dog. However this little miracle navigates it all, and does it remarkably well. It has a slight issue with one floor level change where the difference in height is about 25mm but it keeps trying, giving itself a run-up and always makes it in the end. What's even more remarkable is it doesn't let this get in the way of a complete clean, even when it's struggling with a step it still gets back on track and completes the full clean.Setup is super easy (although the instrctions could be a bit clearer) as it's easy to accidently set it off by itself before you get the app all set up. But once you hit 'Enter' on the app (odd choice of words) and start the first clean, the magic really starts. On it's first run you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a 'dumb' robot as it seems to move randomly, get stuck, bump into things, go over the same area twice, however this just it exploring your house and getting to know all the nooks and crannies. Leave it to do it's thing (remembering to open all the doors of where you want it to clean) and an hour or so later open the app... like magic there is a complete floor plan of your house - just like the estate agent would make!From there the cleaning becomes much smarter, now you can name the rooms, set different cleaning profiles for each room and set up schedules. Armed with the floor-plan, the cleaning route becomes much smarter as well, it hugs the edge, then makes neat tram-lines back and forth across the floor, making little detours to clean nooks and under furniture. It is also not afraid to dart into tight spaces, it fits between the legs of our dining room chairs with just millimeters to spare each side, but this doesn't stop it from sneaking through and managing to clean under the table too. It's a marvel to watch. It even pops back to it's base every now and then to clean it's little mops and fill up with cleaning solution and for these little trips it even increases it's speed, zooming back to base so as not to waste valuable cleaning time!Obstacle avoidance is also miraculous. It can tell the difference between a chair leg that is 'part of the furniture' vs a dog toy that shouldn't be there. So when encountering a chair leg it cleans right around it in a circle, hugging it close so as not to miss a millimeter of floor space. However when it encouters a dog toy or a par of shoes, it gives it a wide berth so be sure it doesn't get stuck or tangled and, if you want it to, it will send a picture of the obstacle to your phone so you know to go and pick it up - incredible.At this point, I cannot fault it. Simply wonderful. Oh and dog loves it, he just sits and watches, which cannot be said for the regular vacuum.

This is an excellent robo vac. Excellent cleaning on hard floors, carpets and mixed. Ease to use and setup with full mapping and control directly to your phone. Quality machine and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to ease their daily chores.

So far this thing has been pretty good, although it’s clearly not a good a vacuum overall as the X8 it replaced; it doesn’t do as good a job picking up dirt and the navigation seems more chaotic and less methodical. That said it is pretty good at avoiding things that the X8 would have got stuck on.The mopping is really good though, and it’s a worthwhile trade off for the worse vacuuming performance. So far we have it set to vacuum on Saturday and Monday mornings; we will probably increase this in winter since we have animals who like to bring mud in. The mops seem to do a good job and like the vacuum will never be as good as manual cleaning but the robot doing it more regularly that we would accounts for that. 3 hours to dry the mops seems a long time though and I worry about energy usage.The main issue I have is the app. It’s very buggy, and there are far too many notifications that can’t be configured, at least on iOS. It notifies you when it’s about to start and end a job, I don’t need to know this I only need to know if there is a problem like it’s got stuck. These are solvable with updates so hopefully Eufy fix it.One final complaint is that there are no proper sensors to tell you when to fill or empty the tanks. There’s a beta feature where it will try to remind you to empty the tank but it relies on you never removing the tank between filling up because it tries to guess, assuming when you replace it you refill to the max line.
