Quality bags!
I had to purchase saddle bag brackets to be able to install these correctly. I love the bags after using them. They are lockable also. I did not use the ties that came with them to attach them. I used little black zip ties and it is great. Fit on 07 Honda shadow 600 just perfect. It is right next to the tail lights. Overall pleased

Aesthetically Pleasing.
I permanently installed these on my 2014 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom with the saddle bag supports from Cavalry. The bolts run very large, even with the install over my sissy bar. I had to take the original rail trim cover washers and use them as spacers to take up some of the slack so the bolts didn't grind into my paint. I used an exacto knife to cut the stitching for the zipper and handle holding area on the back and ripped them off pretty easy. Then, I drilled through the back plastic panels and put some rubber washers inside and outside of the bolt holes. I may also put some larger washers on the inside bolt areas for more surface contact so they don't rip off. But for right now they are fine. They come with some string looped through some sewn in hoops to add extra support. I just used zip ties because they are stronger. Finally, I proactively put some rust inhibitor on all of the rivets, buckles, and buttons with some Q-Tips. It has been through a pretty heavy rainstorm here in Denver and has held up with no known water leaks and no rusting of the rivets. Good product, especially for the price. I can manage to fit my bike cover in one of them, just to give you an idea of the capacity.

Good overall value and look
These are, overall, well made but one of the locks for the quick-release buckles did not work from the start. I don't think that is a deal-breaker because I am not sure I would have ever used them. Manufacturer might want to consider getting rid of those cheap plastic locks and silly tiny plastic keys. There are also regular pad-locks to secure the bags themselves to the main unit but they are too big and they would scratch the finish so I removed them as well. Nice big size and good looking bags. They have a cover the snaps directly under the flap...from the side view that flap looks like a glass holder or a small pocket - that is NOT the case...it is just the closure system for the flap. Good rigid sides and back. Competitively priced and just the right size for my 2005 Shadow Ace 750.

Max size for Kawasaki Vulcan 500
I got these for my 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 500. The bike doesn't sit tall enough to use them as throw-over bags so I had to get a universal mounting bracket. With the brackets they fit perfectly. There is plenty of clearance around them, but I had to snug them right up to the turn signals so they wouldn't rub the shocks. The only fit issue is you have to hold the front of the bags back to put the seat back on, but once the seat is on there is no problem. They are a good size and look like they will fit what I got them for (small gym bag with pair of size 9.5 womens shoes, shorts, shirt, hygiene kit and towel), and I like that they are fairly stiff. I just installed so I can't confirm or deny waterproofing.

V Star 250
These are drop dead gorgeous bags, they lock to the bike and each buckle has an integrated plastic lock and comes with plenty of keys, in the event you lose some.In order to fit my bike, required trimming from the center bindings and had to be screwed under the buddy-seat mount. The product pictures didn't do justice, these things are very nice looking.2 internal pockets per bag, internal flap to reduce water getting in and an overbite flap up front to block road moisture inundation. Internal storage is full sized, enabling transport of a 12 pack of brew if need be.Clearly meant for bigger bikes and not really universal, I rate these at 4.5 stars. If you're looking for great throw over bags, you'll probable give it 5.Arrived quickly and well packaged.

Gorgeous Saddlebags
Love Love Love these bags. They are gorgeous bags. They fit perfect on my VStar 650. They seem very well made and very sturdy hefty bags. I have had them on my list for a long time and finally bit the bullet and ordered them. I am not sorry at all and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I took pictures and posted them on FB and got compliments just on the pictures. It has been raining since I put them on so I haven't been out so people can actually see them but I know I will get lots and lots of compliments. If they fit your bike, buy them, you won't be disappointed.

Just Right
worked out well. I used a set of saddlebag brackets purchased through J & P cycles. I had to alter the brackets by heating and bending so the brackets hung straight down.Took longer to mount than I expected but that was my fault for wanting my set to hang closer to the bike. Overall, they will do just right. The way I mounted the saddlebags was more permanent.

A good, practical accessory.
My Harley FatBoy Low Softail can accomodate these bags. They are just the right fit. Some may think they seem small. But they are great for what I need. And since my bike is silver with everything blackened out, the color scheme works well.
