Good pedometer for the price
Accurate counting steps if you are walking firmly and consistently. I find that it doesn't really track steps around the house when I am walking more lightly, and also doesn't track steps if you walk slowly or stop-start. I spent 2 hours gardening the other day and it still recorded zero at the end of it even though I'd been lugging heavy pots around etc. But for the price it is good. I like that it shows distance and calories burned too, and it is difficult to reset by accident because you have to press and hold the reset button for several seconds. The instructions which come with it are pretty basic and fairly useless so it was mainly trial and error doing the initial set-up. I particularly struggled to set my stride length because mine is shorter than the default length but you can only lengthen the default length. I threw it across the room in frustration before I realised that if you just keep going up and up, eventually the stride length will go back to zero and I could continue counting upwards until I got to the right length. Now that I have done the set-up, it has been working fine for several weeks.

Ok....
Getting used to it still. I find that by not registering the first 10 steps I miss out on a lot of steps throughout the day. Because of the nature of my job I rarely get 10 steps in before someone stops me and asks me something over and over. I can be out of my office for 15 mins walking around the factory and warehouse and I've only registered 100 odd steps, when in reality it's more like 500. Would much prefer this to be 5 steps before kicking in, would make it more reasonable. I also go for a walk most evenings with my 4 year old, lots of stopping and starting. That said, I prefer to clock my steps this way rather than have an app on my phone which is either on my desk not registering steps, or running my batter down at a rate of knots

Sometimes works
This Pedometer is very easy and light. The set up of the clock was very simple. So I have had this clipped to my trousers pocket and walked around with also my mobiles step counter working and im pleased to say they both was rather spot on. Pedometer didn't have as many steps as my phone but in my testing on the mobile in the past I noticed the now and again teh phone would somehow get extra steps, I think this is because it uses GPS.Anyway back to the device,I tested it clipped inside and outside of my pocket and pleased to say it works great on both. So if you for example worked somewhere you couldnt have it on should you could turn it around and just have the little clip on show instead of the pedometer itself (tbh this is most likely how this is going to spend most of its life with us)This is a great cheap little product if you want to accurately count your steps on a budget.Modes it has are as follows - Steps, Distance (set miles or km), KCAL and timeYou can set the time to 12 or 24 hour. You can change the distance of the strides and set your weight so it can accurately give you the distance walked and how many calories you have lost

Pedometers
I bought two pedometers one for my husband and myself. You had to input yr wait and stride, and as my husband and I are different sizes we set them at the various settings. We both walk the same route, but when we arrived home, we compared steps, calories, and distance, they varied a lot. My husband did 7798 steps and I had only done 2578, but we had walked the same route. Bit disappointed. Also sometimes they do not register at all. Not sure what to make of them. They are compact and easy to wear.

Good but not perfect
On the whole I am happy with the Pingko but have found several times it failed to record my steps. When using my treadmill, I discovered it only works if I clip it to my waist band, by my hip, almost in line with my armpit. You must swing your arms to make it work - it won't count steps if you hold on. I also found that working around in the garden, it hardly registered any steps. It's really just as a guide to how many steps you take a day, and for the price I think it's a good purchase.

Really wanted to like it but .....
Really liked the size, the shape, the price and the convenience; the clip was good and set up relatively straight forward. I also liked the estimate of steps, calories and distance and the time display and they were easy to read. Unfortunately, I just found it wildly inaccurate even after changing the position on my body to try and improve pick up. After a relatively busy morning and a 1km+ walk it read 230 steps and on another occasion after a leisurely day at home recorded over 3500. After walking to the shops it recorded 300 steps and on the return trip over the same route clipped in the same position it recorded 1500. To be fair, just having it did encourage me to be more active, but I found it too inaccurate to use to consistently monitor my activity or to accurately record steps in an ongoing fitness programme.
