The Yukata arrived quickly and was packaged well. It is a good quality material and looks good. Very authentic looking. Trying it on, it was a very good fit, which for me is an accomplishment since I'm short and round (belly), 5'7" and around 215 lbs. (I ordered the largest size) This Yukata is sized according to the average Asian males which are usually shorter and definitely slimmer. If you are short and have a perfect fit body, slim and trim, you got it made. The material had a scratchy rough feel to it, kind of a really heavy starchy roughness, so I put it into the wash to soften it. (Yah, I know, hand wash only). I put it on EXTRA delicate, cold water only, and hung it up and air dried it. When I put it on, it not only shrunk 10" in length, but also in width big time! It barely covered me and when I sat down everything got exposed! With what happened I really question if hand washing would have provided better results. Make sure you give great attention and detail to sizing when ordering Japanese robes. Find vendors who provide sizes for not only your height, but also length and width of the robe, and how many inches the fabric will shrink in length and width. So, I have a product I'm not able to use, and in all fairness because I machine washed it against instructions, I shouldn't and won't return it. Now I'm shopping around for robes from other Amazon vendors.

I wish they had included a white belt, which i prefer over the Obi... though for most the Obi would be a bonus. It was similar in price to some Yukata i was looking at, at a Japanese site; but this shipped with prime for free. It does come from the US so there is import duty deposit - which i am hoping to get back! While it is definitely not heavy, it also isn't light and definitely not see through - a good weight for casual wear. I only wear this indoors and it is perfect for me. Will buy again from this seller, if they have a sale!
