About the Author When TJ Klune was eight, he picked up a pen and paper and began to write his first story (which turned out to be his own sweeping epic version of the video game Super Metroid-he didn't think the game ended very well and wanted to offer his own take on it). Now, over two decades later, the cast of characters in his head have only gotten louder. But that's okay, because he's recently become a full-time writer and can give them the time they deserve.

Team Sam mothercrackers!!!
Wow this series is giving me serious book hangovers!! Certain books break and reshape me and this amazing writer looks to becoming one of my must haves!Sam meets his grandmother a gypsy seer and another potential cornerstone much to the chargrin of Ryan.It feels like so many pages but they flyby so quickly.Sam learns of his destiny and secrets known about him and his feelings of anger and betrayal from this, not that he's not keeping his own secrets from those he loves.He's growing and learning, still the smart mouth twink full of power but he's learning of pain and fear.Into book 3 it's gonna make me cry I just know it.

Bring on book 3. This book is hilarious rofl
Ok I thought book 1 was hilarious but this one beats it. Within 8% of the book I was laughing and crying so hard my ribs ached for days. Still do and I've just finished the book.I can't wait to find out what's in store for Sam. I mean there has to be a meaning for that scar and when I read the teaser for the next book is says there is and my imagination went haywire.Does he win, saving everyone or will there be losses like the star Dragon says.

OMG this is the best thing I have read this year. It's hilariously funny and TJ's humour is brilliant. Loved all the people and magical creatures in the book . Gary is as sassy as every and Ryan and Sam are the best Heroes every. Can't praise this high enough and it's more than a 5* book

Omg how do these books keep getting better?
This book is a bit darker than the first but there are still plenty of hilarious bits . It's fast paced, adorably cute and unsettling at times. I adore " I-will-kick- your -ass -Sam". There is nothing quite like showing someone who underestimates you what you're really capable of !!

Wonderful ride!
Dragons, mermaids, wizards, all ingredients for an amazing thrill ride of a book. Continually surfing along the humour, but with lots of heart and the occasional stab of pain to the heart. Spicy without being gratuitous! Loved this book so much!

Great book 2 in the series with the usual mix ...
I expected it was going to be difficult to follow up on TLSH, I shouldn't have worried. Great book 2 in the series with the usual mix of absurd comedy and dramatic tension that delighted me in the first instalment.

Brilliant!
Oustanding series! Laugh out loud dialogue. Adorable characters that you have to love and great plot structure full of amazing events that will keep you reading. Cannot wait for the next book.
