Great camera for the price
The camera is a good shape and size and feels strong when held. I am using it with hikvision nvr, and it works very well. The optical zoom function is also good and I absolutely love the clarity both when zoomed in and when not zoomed in.

Good Customr Service. One of my first three was found to be faulty. It was replaced right away.
Quite decent, all around:- 'Starlight' uber-low ambient light 'colour-night-vision' works reasonably well.. plus it still switches to B&W IR for the REALLY dark environments.- Metal housing is well-executed, access door to (optional) Micro-SD memory and important "hard reset' button is gasketed where it matters.- Setup is easy as these initialize with a fixed-IP of 192.168.1.108, regardless. No need to 'go hunt' for them to change that IP to the one your sub-network prefers.- Unit will report port & IP conflicts until you change each to its long-term IP. Best to configure one at a time, the first time, then there should BE NO IP/port conflicts.

old model? PG2056IRC doesn't even have an available firmware any more
Plugged it in and worked BUT I always want to make sure I apply latest patches/ firmware / etc but the PanoEagle web site doesn't even list this model any more and so no available updates.

Better then the $30 priced cameras - Metal housing and higher quality image
For about $75 this is a solid camera, it will do a lot better then the cheaper cameras and be acceptable compared to the higher end. This has a metal housing and has a good weight to it. It is not compact and would probably be considered a medium size body.It has the typical options to use POE or a 12V barrel tip to power the camera. It has a microsd card to record internally without a NVR. So you can either use this camera to strictly view without recording, use a microsd to record a limited amount of video or connect to a NVR and record from there.Built in mic works well, so you don't need to worry about adding an external mic.Keep in mind if you want to use a web browser to manage the camera, you will need to use IE to get access to all features. Other web browsers will have limited capability which is a common thing with the cheaper cameras. If you worry about updates and other higher level functions, then this may not be the best choice. If you need a solid camera and the extra functions are not critical then this would be a good cheaper alternative.

Good 4k 30fps IP camera with optical zoom by Panoeagle, but night vision is poor
The 8 megapixel IP camera with optical zoom by Panoeagle/Dayukeji Cctv is made in PRC (china). I found this to be a really good camera in daylight or well lit conditions at night. The 4K video feed is 30 frame per second. My Amcrest DVR connected to this camera. The zoom is optical, and is crystal clear. I use this to show on my driveway so I can watch vehicles approach, and there is a lot of detail in daylight conditions. My only issue is the night recordings are not so good. This is a good camera for the $100 price point.4 stars
