i-Gel Browns Eyeliner Trio with Brush

I've used several gel eyeliners over my time and a recurring problem I've found is opacity and viscosity of the gel, this set from CID suffers some of that problem.The viscosity of the gel is excellent, very slippy and spreads well, setting well on the eyelid with only budging if the eyes rubbed hard, but I didn't get a strong line. The best I can say is on application it looked 'watery' as it looked a bit see through or wishy washy wi a lack of strength in opacity throu out the applied line.Now if you just want a smudge along your lashline to create gentle definition and perception of edge and depth without the more obvious black this is ok, but don't expect it to look opaque and 'clean'.Try to 'touch up' by applying over the existing line doesn't help as it 'splits' the created line thanks to the evaporation off of liquid causing the line underneath to 'set' and the over application to partially remove the existing line by friction, this often happens with liner products which is a shame.I like the choice of three tones to work with your skintone or makeup if you have chosen slightly warmer or cooler neutrals, or indeed to change up your look by using a contrasting liner. If you don't expect a sharp clean line, and just want a little blur, it's perfect, if you want more, look elsewhere.

The compact is nicely made. The quality of the colours is good. They stay on and look good all day. The brush is so-so. You'll probably want to use you own. It doesn't take much so should last a long time. Altogether it looks smart and will make a nice gift.

Nice brush smooth and easy to apply and the colours are lovely. They are in a small plastic round case with a snap down lid so good to carry around without them causing a mess. All in all great item.

This type of formula needs a little practice as gel liner is often a tougher line to app,y- it's staying power and depth makes it stronger and deeper and there is a Choice of 3 colours- smart new packaging and portable in your make up bag. We all look so much better in a little liner!

The brush in this kit is exceptional, perfectly thin and precise. The gel itself however is very metallic so it isn't practical for everyday wear. Tends to smear a wee bit. Looks not bad on, goes on lovely and smooth. Looks good with lighter makeup looks.

Lovely liners.As others have said they glide on effortlessly with good pigmentation and absolutely last all day and are waterproof.The case design means these won't dry out and a little goes a long way so these will last forever!

Firstly I had a real job opening this eyeliner trio. Maybe it's simply me, but it really wasn't easy. It's nicely packaged with a mirror and brush. This is the first time I've used this brand and I was impressed. The liner goes on smoothly and seems to stay put. The colours are very wearable. Recommended.

I thought this was diminutive in size, a small product with not a great deal of the cosmetic in it when I first received it but when I shared it with the female friend who had offered to help me review it she put me right and told me that it is about the right size for a cosmetic kit you plan to carry around with you.Similarly the eyeliner product is not in short supply but merely reflective of how sparingly you ought to use that sort of cosmetic, she was pleased with all the colours which she advised were perfect for her given her eye colour (hazel brown) and skin tone (slightly tanned complexion) and she advises that she would use this again and recommend it to others. There was little trouble with application, or removing it again with a decent quality wet wipe or cotton balls, it also proved as durable as any alternative brands and superior to some of the cheaper ones.
