Really like this set! First of all, it’s amazing value for money with all the little things you get on top of the lamp.The lamp itself is great, really streamline and easy to store. It has sensors so it automatically switches on when your hand is under the lights which is really cool. The timer is set to 120s and there are 30 and 60s buttons too. The light automatically comes on when your hand is under the lamp and the timer resets every time the lights switch off so you have to be careful, though you can just use the 60 and 30s buttons. However it does take a while to cure the gel and you have to be careful not to move your hand too far up or the timer resets, but can’t really complain for the price.The polishes also seem really good, the two darker colours I only needed one coat of, but the lighter ones I needed two. The polishes were still tacky after 120s so I gave it and extra 60s each coat. The top coat was fine in 120s but I did extra just in case. It works really well using thin coats though I had trouble getting a thin coat with the glitter, it still cured fine, it was just a bit chunkier in the smaller space. The smell of the polishes is also not that strong which is nice. Definitely there but not overwhelming at all. My main issue is that the bottles only have numbers so unless you remember which is which you have to open the bottle to check the colour every time.The other little extras are also quite nice, some are generic bits that I probably won’t keep like the filing stuff but the rest of it I will probably find useful. I used the french manicure guides.Over all so far I think this is a good beginner set and great value for money. So far so good, but not sure how long they will last without chipping.

I often go to the salon to have my nails done at ££s then I saw these kits and thought at that price I could give it ago myself if no good no big loss. I bought mine on the Prime 2 day event so for just over £16 I got so much for my money, well packaged, lots of stuff, only very slight issue no colour identification on bottles. Thought would start off with the clear with glitter for first time thinking if I made an error it wouldn’t be so noticeable, absolutely did the right thing once all done I could see a little round a couple of the edges but now set very hard to rectify, also if you’re doing this on yourself complete one hand first then do the other but I’m pretty proud of myself and now no need for salon so saving £££££££s

I brought this product as with two little ones the only time I would be free for a nail appointment was after 8 and couldn't afford to pay for it every 2 weeks. I am so glad I brought this product! This isn't a complete kit you do need to buy the primer and then finish wipes aswell, if you want them to be longer lasting. With the bluesky primer and the mylee finish wipes mine tend to last about 10 days or if i clean my bathroom or kitchen with harsh chemicals they get ruined then. This was basically the same as the length of time they lasted from a professional. I am fully aware I'm by no means professional standards and that you can tell I'm not if you look close but it's really fun to keep learning!It's fun to practice all different designs as it doesn't matter because the gel is so cheap.The gel is a little gloopy however I found shaking it for about a minute before I used it helped. For the price you cant complain considering a full gel manicure by a nail technician is £20.I've enjoyed it so much I'm going to book a training course for gels and acrylics.What I would say is the lamp doesn't come with a plug, it's a usb so I've just used my charger plug however I'm not sure if that would be an issue for some people. The cord leading from the plug to the lamp is also quite short and so I tend to do them on the floor for ease.Overall I'd definately recommend this if you want to learn to do your own nails. I watched a few tutorials first as there is some things you can damage your nails by doing wrong and I didn't want to do that but I wished I'd brought this sooner as I'd have saved so much money and had really enjoyed doing it. If you like doing your nails I think you'll have fun with this product!

This is a great item for beginners. Easy to use although you do have to work it out yourself as no proper instructions are included. No colours on the nail varnish either, just numbers. All sorts of items are included in this package such as nail file, cotton pads, cuticle cutters etc. so happy with the way it works I would recommend you use the uv lamp for 60 seconds on each turn. I have cleaned my house the normal way with hands in hot water and using scourers etc and no damage or chips to nail varnish. Very happy.Update July 2024 -still very happy with this purchase. I have bought a selection of colours and use this alot. You can always search for best ways to apply the gel as the instructions weren't great.

Great kit to begin with but after a year the lamp doesn’t work, half the LED bulbs no longer work on the lamp.

I have always paid to get my nails done but it has been costing a small fortune so thought I would try this instead. To say I am impressed is an understatement! It is is so easy to do, if anyone is worried about painting the hand you would usually write with, don’t! It is simple enough to wipe away the excess that will inevitably end up around the nail using the lint free wipes.The colours included are lovely and I will definitely be investing in some more. I only needed 2 coats.The lamp is brilliant, it came with a plug so having read that others didn’t get the plug was a pleasant surprise. I also really like that it doesn’t have a back to it. I am someone that always managed to hit the back of the lamp and need to have the nail repainted. It is also nice and wide, I have massive hands and sometimes find them a bit snug to be able to have my hand comfortably under the light.I would completely recommend getting this product!
