I am so pleased with the price and quality of this tripod that ...
I don't often write reviews, however, I am so pleased with the price and quality of this tripod that I am excited to share my thoughts. It has a high-end feel all around. NO squeaks or cheap plastic. Solid carbon-fiber and metal (assume aluminum) throughout. I was considering a similar travel tripod for $600 (recommended by Peter McKinnon - check him out on youtube:) but I as a hobbyist, couldn't bear that hefty price. This tripod has met and exceeded all of my expectations. The hook for weights is great, the feel of the head is smooth, the optional monopod is quick and versatile, and my favorite feature not even mentioned, is the head can point straight down perfectly without tightening the clamp!!! That was great touch for overhead videos/photos! Very excited to travel with this next week to Mexico. Much lighter and steadier than my tripod from BestBuy. Thanks Utrifoto! Now i have to find some matching mounting plates to add to my steadycam for quick swapping!

Good for travel, watch the legs !
Great for travel, watch the legs at they have nothing to keep them from extending out of the holder. Once they are put back, very hard to operate. This happened on my second use of the item. Great size for sure, light and strurdy. Took this with my for a 10 day trip across europe with great results, just wich it was made a little better.

My new favorite travel tripod.
This Tripod is definitely worth more than what I paid for !!! It’s a really high-quality light weight travel tripod. It works great with my heavy 1DX Mark ii even with my 70-200mm on it. The ball head is able support the weight no problem and do crazy angles. I also love how it comes with everything I need like carying bag , all allen wrenches I need and even a D-ring on the quick release , just show how well designed this tripod is. I just love this thing!!

Excellent travel tripod, but loses one star for no manufacturer contact information
When I ordered this tripod several weeks ago there were no reviews. I took a leap and ordered it anyway, based on its light weight, compactness, decent height and clever monopod. After inspection and very limited use, here is a "quick look" review;Fit and finish seem excellent, no flaws at all. The legs and head have a pleasing stiffness in their motion, indicating tight tolerances. It is compact for reaching 1600mm/63 inches to the center of the lens at max extension (not 61 inches as the description indicates). Weight, if you remove the two allen keys, is 1104 grams/2.43 pounds. This includes the head assembly! One leg of the tripod unscrews to become a fully functioning monopod. The head is basic, but seems to be very well-made. The ball tightness control knob can be set to allow fine hand adjustment, neither too loose nor too tight, and then fully tightened, of course. The rotation tightness is less smooth, and there is no arm, so this would seem not to be perfect for video. However, I have little video experience, so perhaps someone with more experience will comment on this.At full extension, this tripod will shake when touched. Even my strap picking up some breeze caused a slight vibration. This is the trade off for lightness and compactness, and this tripod carries this tradeoff very well.I took off one star because there is no contact information for the manufacturer. The name "Utrifoto" is used, but there is no Utrifoto website, and no contact information on any of the limited materials which came.with it. The warranty card offers 6 years of service. It also includes the statement, "If you have any questions, let us know." However, there is no address, phone number, nor website! Hopefully they are working on these details...The small instruction card mentions a "short center column". This sounds intriguing, but I have not explored it yet. The brief written description of this "short center column" refers to "Illustration 26" and "illustration 27" but there are in fact only 25 illustrations offered...Finally, I mentioned that this is a light, compact tripod. It is slightly twitchy (totally understandable), its light-weight head is good but not video pro ready, and it lacks the multi-angle adjustable column. If money and weight are not issues, this Vanguard device seems exceptional:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXY6DBX/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1W6BRGC72GOUQ&colid=4HLS4B714T3E&psc=0For now, though, I am very happy with this rather mysterious Utrifoto tripod!

Solid tripod for photography - would buy again.
This is a SOLID tripod with a smooth ball head for photography. I’ve set it up with both my 5d Mk IV with a 200mm (heavy lens) and my Lumix g7, (light weight mirrorless) and it was able to support it along with a flash. It’s lightweight but definitely not the lightest tripod out there, which I like because it adds to the stability. The tripod legs have a removable rubber cap on each foot which enclose stakes to use it on different terrain. I’ll be posting photos of it soon and will have a video up on my YT channel for anyone who wants to breifly see the tripod in action- Dapper Dop

5 Star !!
I have been using this for a few times and overall I like this Tripod. I compared the price this one is affordable for me. I am surprised this Tripod is very light-weighted compared with my old one, it is easy to set up well made overall. Happy with that the Tripod can be easily set up as a monopod. You just cannot go wrong with this one:)
