Good for the price
It's a cheap 700W inverter, but definitely works well enough. I haven't measured the true power output, but it cranks out 300W all day with no problems. The waveform generator isn't the best in world (to be expected at this price point) so some of my AC-DC inverters (for example, my laptop's) emit a bit of a hum, but the waveform is sinusoidal enough to run them without problem and I don't have any worries about damaging them.It has an low-battery shutoff, an over-volatage detector, and its own fuses so it should be able to protect itself, your electronics, and your vehicle's battery without problem. My only real gripe is that even at this price point, the provided cables should be twice as long. However, longer ones are available for not much coin.Just as a note for people in the market for inverters, any inverter over 200W needs to be directly connected to the battery, regardless of what the manufacturer claims. This inverter will NOT plug into your lighter or accessory socket and nor should you try it, unless you like blowing fuses.

Heating and air wow perfect. I got this just in case another big ...
It works . I've tried it up to 1200 watts . Actually I tried it on various electronics . The no no are Tvs ( buzz light year ) microwaves ( got a scary buzz ) washing machine ( just a little buzz ) .. About the it yeah baby refrigerator works perfectly as well as lights . Heating and air wow perfect . I got this just in case another big earthquake hits Japan. At least we will be able to use the use things around the house like normal until things turn back to normal ?!?!??

Great!
This has no trouble powering my 12 amp orbital Sawzall or my 11 amp circular saw under load. It can even power an old wringer washer full of water. It can also power my 10 amp electric chainsaw, though the inverter's protection shuts it off if I force the saw too much. This implies that the chainsaw can draw far more than 10 amps or even 12 if stressed. Something to remember about power tool ratings. What you would think is a safe margin might not be, even though this inverter is supposed to be able to put out 3600 watts surge.

Lots of power. Low power quality.
Permanently installed on my boat. Works like a champ, can run power tools without a problem.BUT: the power quality is pretty atrocious. I looked at the waveshape with an oscilloscope and would NEVER EVER connect anything electronic to it. Even my Dremel tool refuses to run (I tried it and I suppose I got luck that I did not fry it with the inverter).Upshot: Know what you are getting. If you want to just run your power drill from your battery, this does it like a champ, and at a good price. But don't even think about connecting your laptop!

Do yourself a favour and spend a little more money ...
Do yourself a favour and spend a little more money and get a true sine wave inverter. This inverter is modified sine wave and destroyed my coffee maker the first time I used it.

Cheap Chinese made crap.
Couldn't handle that wattage it was rated for. Cheap Chinese made crap.

Seems to be a great product for the price
Love itIve uses this a few times to power a 800 watt amp for parades and tailgating.I haven't used it for more than a couple hours at a time and only a few times a year so I don';t know how it would hold up under heavy use all the time but it seems just as good as the expensive ones!

it works
I got a SUV and it's installed in the back; powered from car battery. It has no problem to power up laptops, power drills, vacuums, etc.. However, I hooked up my 950 watt microwave and it lasted only 3-4 minutes. It went to ALARM mode (to prevent car battery from draining completely) and I had to shut it off.

Wagan 1500 Watt Power Inverter
The converter arrived quickly and performs very well as per specifications. The unit is connected to two 6 volt deep cycle gulf cart batteries (connected in series to achieve 12 volts and 264 A/H). it is being used for a back up sump pump system in case of prolonged power failures. So far, I am very happy with this purchase.
