These links are not made to open other than the one with the spring ring.

Q: Why is the quality so poor? I bought these and the quail is poor! I used on a denim bag. Not even a heavy bag and the clip broke!

I ended up throwing mine away. I made a tote for someone and twice, the clips broke. I tried to get a refund but the vendor ghosted me. I left a review stating my disappointment with the product and shopped with another vendor.
