NIV Life Application Study Bible, Second Edition (Hardcover Cloth) Hardcover – September 5, 2017

Hats off to Amazon for getting me my Bible within 2 days.What a great study Bible. I have tried on a few occasions during my 50 years to read the Bible. I have fallen short on every one. I asked my pastor for a recommendation of an easy to read Bible and he pointed me to this one. I received this Bible yesterday (8/7/22) at approximately 1700 hrs. By 2230 hrs., I had read the first 31 chapters of Genesis. All I can say is WOW!! Let me be clear, I hate reading. This Bible makes it too easy not to.What I love/like about this Bible is the Genuine Leather Cover is really nice. The large print is very nice! It has really nice maps throughout the book and color maps at the rear of the book. The book is large but that is to be expected from a study Bible. The thumb indexes are deep and well done. There are other aspects about this Bible that are nice too but I'm going to keep this review somewhat short.So far, I am not a big fan of the footnotes. I'm sure, over time, I will learn to appreciate them. The pages are a little thin and I find some of them sticking together. This is because it is a new book with the gold leafing on the edges of the pages. For me, this was not a problem. I understand it's a new book.Overall, this study Bible is awesome!!

The pictures show the difference between the large print and regular print. The large print bible is huge and heavy but very easy to read. If you plan on laying it down on a table to read and not take it places I would recommend the large print. I love how it has a summary of all the books and explainations of versus. The maps help you visualize the stories and the timeline is great for those like me who are trying to understand how and when everything happened. This a great Bible for anyone who wants to learn more about God.

This study bible really explains passages so easily. Tackles the tougher questions and sheds light and insight on Bible verses.

the only think i wish could change but won't is the weight of the book. Large print requires lots of pages!The footnotes are amazing and convicting. I am on my 4t edition in 37 years :)

Easy to read

Easy to read and understand. Large print is exactly the font I was expecting. The index tabs are deep enough to easily locate the section I want. So much information regarding the customs of the timeit was written. Concordance is great. I don't need to have several books for Bible study. This is at my fingertips without interruption. My page's are not too thin nor are they stuck together as some have posted. Superb quality. If you make notes or underline, don't use a gel pen. It will bleed through. For highlighting I use Mr. Pen pastels. Excellent product to pair with this Bible. It's a heavy Bible. But I don't have to tote it everywhere. It's my at home study Bible. I am extremely pleased with this translation. It lays open easily and just folds nicely over the lap without having to hold it open with one hand.

It is so much easier to read and understand the Bible using this Study Bible. All of the notes and cross references in one place and in a format that is easy to explain.

A good bible for “Bible study” as it has lots of information, cross references, maps etc. However, I just wanted an easier to read bible in every day English to use during live or real services. It’s an ‘easier read’ bible than my previous bible, but not as easy as I would like, and which I know is available.Real dislikes: It weighs just over 2 kilos! Also the page numbers are on the inner part of the page! These two items make finding something a real pain. Unbelievably difficult to use when following a service.

Fantastic New King James Version Bible, large print and excellent for bible study as it's a life application study bible that gves references, footnotes and maps.Yes this Bible has the red words highlighted the of what Jesus Christ said.Dimensions 17.78 (w )x 6.86 (thickness) x 24.38cm (L)Only small issue is that the pages are too thin, however purchased a leather bible case which provides extra protection.Great bible, for price too.God bless.

I am 100% sure I paid (£47.99) for a New Bible according to the Product Description. I was stunned to receive a Bible with damaged cover. I would have loved to keep the cover but lo and behold I will be throwing away the Bible cover which is already torn - and it was delivered torn!! For the Bible itself - it is 5 Star. I have been using Tyndale Study Bible for over 15 years and would love to stick with it. Very easy to understand. I am advising that Amazon should desist from sending this Bible to customers with damaged cover. If they have an issue with the cover they should make their customers aware and possibly give a discount. To send a damaged good without an explanation is BAD PRACTICE! I have to let go now and get on with reading my Bible!! It is actually large print. I am surprised some people reviewed that the print is small - Lol !!

Fantastic bible. My favourite translation is NLT because it reads really well and is written in plain English. I do like Others as well when you want a word for word translation but for every day reading NLT is my go to. This Bible feels classy. The faux leather cover feels soft and nice to the touch. The print is a nice size. The study notes in this Life Application edition are different compared to the NLT Study Bible. I have both. Both are good but this edition personalises the message so you can apply it to your life. I love the quick access tabs on the side. It nice to have commentary with your bible as it can clarify the text better in your mind. I highly recommend this heavy weight Bible.

This bible is the best I've ever come across, everything is explained so clearly and detailed whilst still having the NKJV original translation. Each section is broken down with maps, character references, word meanings and how you can apply the scripture to your own life. This is a very large book, the print is perfect and it feels lovely and soft in your hands. The pink stripe on the cover is very pretty and beautifully embossed, edges of pages are silver and it has a pink ribbon book mark. I never write reviews about anything but this bible is so stunning and prefect I felt I had to. It is a joy to read. If you're thinking of getting it don't hesitate.
