Great device worth the wait, some limitations.
There's a few limitations, first of being just 1 USB 3.0 drive, I suspect because of the power restrictions. If you are running Logic Pro and planning to plug in a midi device, it will not sustain the power, you'll need to use Apple's direct official usb to usb-c dongle.Still playing around with this, but was a bit disappointed about that. That may resolve itself if you plug the power in from the wall and use it as a bypass, I haven't tried it. But It does power usb drive, mouse, tablet (Wacom tablet for drawing). I have attached a 1tb usb drive and I'm surprised to say that it does work. So I added a star on that.

Power port cuts out when keyboard and mouse plugged in
As a USB hub this worked fine with my Lenovo Yoga 720 laptop. I was able to plug a keyboard and mouse into this, plug this into a USB-C port, and the laptop recognized the peripherals as if they were plugged directly into the laptop. But when I tried to charge my laptop using the power pass-thru port on this with the keyboard and mouse plugged in my laptop went nuts. It acted as if the hub was constantly being plugged and unplugged. If I unplugged the keyboard and mouse the power pass-thru worked fine. If I plugged in the keyboard and mouse without the power this worked fine. But power, keyboard, mouse together did not work. I exchanged this hub for a second one thinking the first was just defective but saw the same behavior.Too bad, I really liked the concept of having multiple USB ports plus power delivery and this was easily the cheapest option I could find offering it. But it didn't work with my laptop.

Power Throughput Stopped Working
I've had this for less than a year and it only gets used about 2-3 days/week when I'm working from home and it is already failing to work fully. It still works as an adapter for connecting USB-A devices to the USB-C port on my Macbook Pro, but the power port will no longer put charge through to my laptop, so it's of limited use to me now. I need to be able to connect my desktop display, USB keyboard, and power cord to my Macbook, and with this broken adaptor I can only do the USB-A and run off of battery. At the point the battery is drained and I have to plug in the power cord, I can only work on my computer using it's integrated keyboard. (Of course, the root of my problem comes from Apple's stupid decision to only put two USB-C ports on newer Macbook Pros for power and peripherals, which requires the use of adapters like this, and IMO Tim Cook can go eat a bag of dongles!)

Very good converter !
This is my first shopping experience from ikling and also this is a fantastic usb c hub, elegantly shaped, made from durable aluminium, the same colour as my Macbook. I can see it a lot of time, it contains 1 usb 3.0 port, 2 usb 2.0 ports, is very, very nearly the perfect companion for my laptop with the corresponding port. So I can use 3 different usb port at same time , I am able to use my flash drives, mouse, and other USB hubs, I can charge my headphones, portable speakers, my android and IPhone. Plus now I can hook any type-C device up.The ikling usb c Converter is nice thin, lightweight, compact design, the most important thing is that it can improve your work efficiency with reasonable price.

Unreliable
This product seemed to do just what I wanted: plug in a USB device while charging my MacBook; I didn't need HDMI or Ethernet or SD card adapters, just a USB port or two.. And it worked... for a while. I've had it for a year now, and for about half that it's worked fitfully. It doesn't always charge, and mounted USB drives suddenly get disconnected, giving me the "volume improperly ejected" errors. As a result I can't trust it for copying data--the connection to the destination volume can be suddenly lost, losing or corrupting data.

It's very thin but it is long and wide and if for some reason you have it hanging off a portable lap desk it can be annoying. Also being aluminum it's edges are a bit ...
This is a handy dandy hub. I use this on an XPS 15 9560. I can charge my Nexus 5x via usb-c and run some USB products all from the same device. The only con I would say that for a portable hub it is a bit on the bulky side. It's very thin but it is long and wide and if for some reason you have it hanging off a portable lap desk it can be annoying. Also being aluminum it's edges are a bit sharp and scratchy, they won't hurt you but I do worry about it scratching up something in my bag, but it hasn't happened.

Not nearly strong enough.
UPDATE: seller has reached out and is sending a replacement. Added 2 stars for their efforts and will update again regarding the replacement.Original review: Doesn't even have the power to charge an iPhone 6 through the USB 3.0 port. Would trust it to support a single wireless mouse and virtually nothing else. Cable is not long enough to rest the box on top of the laptop so it just has to hang off the side putting tons of tension on the cable. Worth it to buy a more expensive adapter.

Poor Quality Control and Testing
Edit: The company reached out to me and offered a replacement. The replacement device had similar issues to those listed below. Two of the ports work, but the middle port doesn't work when my mechanical keyboard is plugged in fully (the keyboard works fine in any of the other 10+ USB ports I have tried). Thankfully I only need 2 USB 2.0 ports, so I can use a 2.0 port for my mouse and the 3.0 port for my keyboard. I've bumped my review from 2 to 3 stars, but am going to refuse any further replacements because it seems like the issue is found across all the adapters. One of the USB 2.0 ports didn't work on arrival. It had resistance while trying to plug in any of a few usb devices, and once plugged in fully the devices wouldn't work. If only inserted slightly it would work, but seems like it was shorting out or something, as the led backlight on my keyboard started going haywire. Also they are trying to have a similar design to the Apple multiport adapter but the cable rotates as it comes out of the USB-C plug on the computer, so the adapter won't sit flat on the table.

It works great! 5 stars for that
It works great! 5 stars for that, but the top section where the cord extends from the adapter is raised as if it was not glued down. I have tried to secure it down, but it keeps popping back up. As I really need it, I do not have the time to return it and keep working, so I will eventually try to glue it down with some strong glue.

Destroyed My Hard Drive.
The seller is lying about the product. It doesn't provide pass through charging. This is like those crappy iPhone cords that works once second and then doesn't work.UPDATE:This adapter has destroyed the portable hard drive I had plugged into it while it was charging through my OEM Apple MacBook charger. This hard drive had extremely valuable content that is destroyed. Considering legal action.

Works very nice with my laptop
I am not a big MacBook fan, because their connectors are not compatible with many other products, but I had to purchase one for my mom's store to do some photoshop work and printing work. After purchasing the MacBook, I was trying to find a USB C hub for it, and I found this one. It looks very nice, have a good review and the price is reasonable. Most importantly, it works very well and makes the transfer and connection to other devices much easier! It's also lightweight and makes it easy to carry. Recommended!

great product for the cost. cable seems sturdy
the only thing hat would make it better is an SD card slot. it does, however, let you charge your MacBook Pro while you are using it. cable seems sturdy and not like some off name products where it looks like they recycled an old cable.

Good To Use For the Nintendo Switch
Used only for the Nintendo Switch so far. Had some issues with it not staying plugged or readable to the Switch. For example, I had the usb-c power plugged in, the Hori pad and the Lan adapter plugged in. The Hori pad and lan adapter work well (and still does), though the usb-c power will sometimes stop the switch from charging. So I would have to unplug from the switch and plug it back in and then it will read. So maybe its a thing where it has to be on first before plugging everything in. If it wasn't for that, it would get 5 stars. I would still recommend it. 4/5.

Apple wants $70 to do the job this did just as well
Needed to back up my MacBook 12 inch for the first time, but required about 12 hours, more time than the battery would last. Apple Store recommended buying their adapter similar to this (along with a video port) as the only solution at $70. . This device worked just as well at 20% of the cost and allowed the computer to be plugged in while the drive was connected to a USB-A port.

but has worked fine since with thumb drive
I originally gave this a 1 because it didn't seem to supply power, but has worked fine since with thumb drive, printer and Seagate Backup Plus (which is what needs power).
