Its just so solid!
I've used Ramm mounts for my topo surveying staff, to hold my tablet whilst walking about whatever terrain I'm surveying and Ram mounts don't slide, wobble, turn when they are locked in position, and don't break off when under abnormal forces, such as me stumbling and swinging the staff around. Yes Ram stuff is expensive but its metal, big thicknesses and cross sections, so you are getting sturdy kit.

Very sturdy
Very strong and can be adjusted to a variety of positions. Whole system is a bit on the bulky side compared to more simple mounts. I have this in a Land Rover and it does not look out of place.

Verys Satnav ram mounting system
It mated to other 25mm RAM adaptors quite well. No issues fitting my TomTom charger/docking mount to the handlebars of my Versy 1000. My TomTom Rider now sits up higher and is better positioned compared with the OEM Kawasaki SatNav mounting bracket.
