Finally, some hope.
I have barely owned this thing for an hour and let me tell you...I can already tell this will hopefully solve so many of the issues I've been having.I deal with constant tension headaches and its extended into my shoulders and arms. I work a desk job, and so muscle tightness, ergonomics and posture is a constant battle.I've bought a handful of different heating pads with very marginal success for this. Even if I buy a big rectangular pad, it will not stay on me. It's more frustrating than anything else. I've been trying to find a solution that is similar enough to the heated pads that my physical therapist would put on me before my stretches. This though? It's slightly weighted with beads, so it keeps the heat against you. It contoured to the neck, so it wraps around comfortably and has a rigid structure in it to keep its shape. Though I wouldn't make a habit of constantly resting all of my weight against it just for the longevity of the product, it is one step short of those airplane pillows so its very comfortable. And its got a magnet in the front to keep it locked in place. I'm not sure how long that magnet will last being exposed to heat, I'm a little surprised its not velcro or something similar. But even if such a thing happens, it should be an easy fix.I am on the lowest setting and its very, very warm. I've had bad luck with heating pads stopping working, where they will eventually only heat in one spot because they are built and manufactured cheaply. I always have a huge worry with these things starting fires. Sunbeam's reputation I hope will make this a much longer lasting product. For my sake, I really hope this lasts because so far, it seems money very well spent. Time will tell.

Works great!
I purchased this heating pad because I pulled the muscles in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. The heat settings are excellent, and the pad fit perfectly on my aching muscles. I'm so happy that this works so well to relieve my pain.

Not Pefect, But My Wife Likes It
My wife has arthritis issues with her neck and upper back. I bought this for her so I could get our old style heating pad back for my lower back. Getting old is all about fighting over the heating pad.The new neck and back pad is mostly just right for my wife's painful areas. She's rather slim, so the fit is generous, but not overly so. She likes the weighted feel. The material and workmanship are adequate and should be reasonably durable if not abused. There are fixed stays in the neck area to keep the neck from sagging, and a thick, bendable stay in the lower neck area to insure a snug fit. The magnetic closure is a bit odd and makes for a loose fit and is not adjustable, but it's also not terribly important. The cord length is generous, and the cord is sturdy, almost too robust. The connector at the pad is big and bulky and quite stiff to use. It requires too much force to disconnect, and is probably better left alone. The control is intuitive and convenient, and the auto shutoff is a very good idea. We have roughly the same control on our older flat pad, and have found it to be reliable and the auto shutoff useful. My wife finds the higher heat settings much too hot, and she mostly keeps it on low. It could probably use one even lower setting, but works pretty well as is. The pad heats up very quickly. It's a bit on the expensive side, but probably fair enough if it lasts a long time.

Wrapped with love
This is a must have.. no more pain or stiffness. This product was a great value purchase. I use it frequently if my shoulders hurt or my neck is sore. It has adjustable heat settings so you can pick your level of warmth. I had a shoulder injury and this helped soothe the pain. The quality is great for this price. It looks bulky but it’s actually lightweight.

This is a lifesaver for sore necks and upper back/traps
Oh my gosh, I can't wait to turn this thing on and get on the sofa in the evening. I wear it all evening. The best feature is how the metal collar allows you to fit it snugly against your neck so that you actually get some heat on it. It's fairly attractive and very very comfortable. It has a magnetic clasp so it stays put. Worth every penny. I wish it got a little hotter, that's my only complaint, but none of the newer ones seem to get very warm.

Works Well and Can be Adjusted for Folks with Smaller Necks
There were a number of mixed reviews with this and some other similar specialized heating pads and I was skeptical but bought as a deal of the day item and it works great. A number of women have mentioned that it didn't seem to fit well and didn't like it because of that. I have a 17 1/2 inch neck and it fits well. There is a soft metal bar that runs horizontally in the neck part that can be bent to make fit snug, much like the nose pincher on a paper dust mask. This gets quite warm/hot so sometimes I will put it on 4 for a few minutes and then drop it down to 2 or 1 and it feels very good and it has helped provide some relief for a chronic neck condition I have. Other times I have just started it on 2 and left it there and that works well and doesn't take long to feel the warmth. The construction is top rate and the outer edges are filled with weights which work well in allowing the pad to contour around your neck and shoulders. The cover is very plush and soft and it fits so well and is comfortable despite it weighing several pounds when you pick it up, but once on you don't notice it at all. This is more of a suggestion than a complaint as the controller only has forward movement which means you have to cycle though all four positions before it comes back around rather than having up and down switches like most heating pads. Going from 4 to 3 requires cycling off, 1, 2, and then 3. Not a big deal, just wondering why they didn't use the same type of controller as they have on their standard heating pads. It has a 5 year warranty that probably would cost more than it was worth to ship back if the thing is short lived, though this is a common issue with most warranties. Hoping it works as well as my Sunbeam flat heating pad that I have had for years.
