Accessories Poorly Designed
I purchased this shower head primarily for its ability to filter chemicals out of the city water. In this respect, it is meeting my expectations, though the literature and directions made no mention of life expectancy. However, I was less than impressed by the poor quality of the shower head support bracket. It broke upon the installation process, as noted by another reviewer. Breakage did occur, with very little force applied, while I was tightening it so the hose connection would be facing downward. This part is very poorly designed. In addition, the hose is extremely long and I would caution users to be aware! If the attached shower head should come out of the cradle, it will crash into my tub, likely causing damage. It is hard for me to understand this design, too, since the added length is more of a hazard than useful. So I installed my old shower head hose, which worked fine, is shorter (thereby eliminating the shower head smashing the tub or soap dish holder) and is much more robust in construction, especially the connector ends.There is no address or phone number provided on the instruction sheet or box. One can only assume that New Market Naturals doesn't want to hear from me, so I have expressed my thoughts in this review.So be a little careful...

Great Filter - Needs stronger plastic
This product uses a KDF filter which is far better at removing chlorine that a carbon filter. I had a GE Carbon filter to reduce the strong chlorine odor from my city water. I bought it at Home Depot and found out quickly that once the water gets hot the Carbon filter does very little to remove the chlorine. After installing this filter I immediately felt the difference. I needed about half the amount of shampoo and my hair and skin were softer. So as a filter system, KDF is definitely the way to go. However, the clip that holds the shower head in place is easily snapped off. I read other reviews that stated this so I was extremely careful when pulling the Head out and back into the plastic clamp. I failed to tell my daughter to do the same and she snapped it off after one use. So this product is a great filter but be careful when you purchase and remove the shower head with care. If you know this before you buy - it will last years. I have purchased another one for my 2nd bathroom and got 2 replacement parts just in case. They are only 5 bucks so it is worth having the replacements because I really like this filter. Easy to install, good water pressure and overall would be a 5 star if it werent for the cheap plastic clamp.

Don't get rid of your old hand-held until you are sure about this one!
I had previously ordered 2 of these to replace the same 2 I've had forever as the actual showerhead/handles were finally no longer working well. One I installed right away and was very happy with it. When I went to install the other one, the contents/directions were slightly different than the first one. There was no plumber's tape nor was there anywhere in the instructions any reference to applying it like in the first package. I installed it as directed and as soon as I turned on the water, there was water spraying everywhere up at the connection to the shower arm. I re-tightened - same problem; used the plumber's tape leftover from the first package, same problem. What I realized was happening was that the water spraying everywhere was not coming from the connection but from further down right above the hose bracket. As I removed the shower hose agaiin, section above the hose bracket came apart and at this point, I gave up and put in for a return. Because I really like this showerhead, I reordered another on the hope that maybe this one was just defective. New one came - same problem!! Because I do like this showerhead and don't feel like shopping around again, I am keeping this one for the hose and showerhead and have just left off the new hose bracket and am using my old one BUT I am not happy with this 'new' product. If I could just order the shower handle all would be well but feel sorry for anyone who orders this and doesn't have the old bracket to fall back on. New one is flimsy garbage.

Amazing!!
I admit I was skeptical at first but I am a true believer now! I received my shower head on 11-4-11 and installed it the next morning - Very easy!My previous shower head (a hand held unit with no filter) leaked from several different spots and greatly reduced my water pressure. The new shower head does not leak and has double my water pressure!Hair - I have fine, straight, color treated hair that has looked awful for years. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years trying every product known to man with little or no results. I noticed a difference after the 1st shower and after 5 days I have soft, slightly curly hair, with plenty of bounce and shine!Skin - Always felt dry and tight after my shower despite the use of moisturizing body gel and lotion, and a coat of lotion after I got out of the shower! Now I just use the shower gel and nothing else!I used to feel like my hair and skin had a residue on it after every shower - that feeling has gone away completely!And if you still aren't sold - This is the first review I have ever written for any product I have ever purchased in my entire life!I live in Huntsville Alabama where you can smell the chlorine in the water when it comes out of the tap - I can't speak for anyone else, but this product has made a huge difference for me!IWY
