Q: Can you set this light to stay on permanently for a set number of hours every night automatically every night

Although I've never used this particular setting, the instructions say this about the Evening Timer: "...can keep lights on continuously--without motion--for 1 to 8 hours after dusk". They continue, "During vacations the evening timer provides a 'lived-in' look by simulating an occupant turning lights on at dusk". They also go on to state, "once 8 hours have passed, the sensor will revert to motion activated mode". I would assume based on the "vacation" comment that this will continue until you turn the evening timer off. Hope this helps.

Q: Can this light be mounted under an eve / soffit? In other words; can it be mounted underneath the gutters on the soffit? Some lights are for wall mounting only? Is this one of them?

Yes, I have five of them mounted under the soffit on the corners of the house. I have one that is also mounted on the wall at the garage. One is actually mounted 27' from the ground and it also works great for detecting motion on the ground. You can also install them in parallel so that if one triggers, the other one will also go on. This way you can light up the whole end of the house if either detects motion. These are great lights- I highly recommend them.

Q: My backyard is wooded area. Does this light's sensor work on branch moving by window?

Yes... it may turn on when windy. You can adjust the sensitivity which should help.This is a very good sensor guaranteed for 10 years by Mfg. Take note that all sensors may not be compatible with LED light bulbs.

Q: Under type of bulb, it says "corded electric". What is that? What kind of bulb do I use?
