I searched and read reviews for days, trying to figure out exactly what combination of items would best work for my newly discovered preoccupation with matcha tea. Finally I decided to chose a bowl (chawan) separately from implements, and felt this set of items offered exactly what I needed for a reasonable price. the very nicely boxed and presented set arrived promptly, with good quality items as described and clear instructions. There is everything one needs - bamboo measuring and sifting assist implement, sifter with sifter rest, quality chasen, and a stand for the chasen. Perfect. I use it all every time I make matcha tea or tea lattes and feel there is no redundancy or waste. The results are far superior to just scooping powder with a spoon and trying to use a home whisk, though I never tried a frother. Would order exactly this set again if doing it over, unless you wanted a different color chasen rest. The blue is pleasant and works for me; you could always order one separately. Highly recommend!

Got the Traditional Set for my wife as a Christmas present. We love it! It made a great gift; from the meticulously designed packaging to the matcha powder. We had our first matcha 'ceremony' this morning. Preparing the tea is just as satisfying as drinking it. It's a really nice way to start off your morning. The matcha powder is beautiful and delicious. It comes fully air-sealed in the storage can for optimal freshness. The whisk is high quality and creates a delicate froth. I've read a bit about the health benefits of matcha and we are happy to have Umami Matcha in the house now. I highly recommend this product. It really kicks your tea game up to the next level.

This is a very good and complete Matcha set, including everything you need except the actual Matcha and the bowl. I was a little confused, being new to traditional matcha preparation, and I thought the Chasen (whisk) came only with 75 tines. I contacted the seller by email and received a very kind reply explaining that the center tines (about 25 of them) are in a knot, and will unravel normally after using it. This set works great, and allows you to make a great cup of matcha, the traditional way.

I love this whisk a lot. Great quality. I didn't find myself reach to the sifter that much. But this is a great set to have.

This set has everything I needed to make a great cup of matcha. It works great (blends the matcha very well, especially after sifting), is easy to clean and store. Came packaged in a nice box, very suitable as a gift.

I've been drinking matcha tea for the past year. I didn't think using these tools would actually make a big difference, but after sifting and whisking, I had the cleanest tasting cup of matcha iced tea in a year. I would definitely recommend using these tools if you are an avid matcha drinker. There price of this set is reasonable and the stand for the whisk is the reason I chose this set-- it definitely helps to have a place for the wisk so as not to break any of the tines. I wasn't sure if I'd user the little bowl for sifting, but it serves it purpose. If you like matcha, get this set-- it's worth the investment for the flavor.

Overall a great matcha tea set. My only complaint would be that I wish it also came with the bowl to mix the matcha in, and I think the measuring spoon is not worth it, but overall it is a great set and great quality.
