The Phoibos with the abalone face is amazing to look at with different bright colors across the dial. Sturdier and heavier than expected, the Phoibos keeps great time with the N35 workhorse Seiko automatic movement. This will be a fun summer watch with full capabilities for the pool or lake, ocean swimming. They make a heckuva watch for the money which was very reasonable. For something fun I’d very much recommend it. Jeff

My husband lives on and in the water and needed a watch to replace his Citizen Eco Diver watch. I wanted something different for him, something to stand out and I found Phoibos. Realizing that all big brands are now manufactured in Japan, we thought we give it a try and we did get rewarded for the trust.This watch is magnificent. The Abalone shell is an eye catcher, the watch is beautiful and well made. Nice heavy quality and my husband enjoys the rubber band for comfort. It looks and feels like a much more expensive watch. The old Citizen watch looks ordinary and chintzy next to it. A character piece for a character man.If you have a loved one, a partner, brother or son and you want to get them a unique and special gift, get them this watch.And if you are a man who is adventurous, special and fine, get that watch for yourself - as a reflection of who you are and because you deserve it.

Price, quality and the design are really good… the 5 star is pending as the screen brightness meeds to be improve…

UPDATE: Still very pleased with this watch. After almost 11 months, it continues to gain about 8 seconds a day, which is fine with me. I don’t have to worry about a battery dying. I replaced the rubber strap with a NATO strap. The rubber strap was comfortable, but I like the security of a NATO strap. And the watch still looks great, even though I wear it almost every day.Original: I just got it, so I can’t comment on its accuracy. But it is the nicest looking watch I’ve ever owned. The octopus logo is very cool. The hands are easy to read. The bezel turns with solid audible clicks and lines up perfectly. I have a small wrist (6 5/8”). I wear it on the fifth hole of ten, so I think it would work well on any wrist from 6 1/4 to 7 1/2+”. And it looks good, even on my small wrist. Not too big for me. The “rubber” strap is comfortable. The look, the quality (movement and crystal), and, of course, the price sold me on this watch. If I find the accuracy needing improvement and/or I find it doesn’t hold up to my swimming, I’ll update this review. Until then, solid 5 stars.Day three update: I tested the lume the past two nights. I can clearly read it after 8 hours of darkness sitting on my bedside table.One week update: After seven days, it gained one minute, or roughly 8-9 seconds per day. I find that acceptable.

Just received this watch on 6/27. Wow, what a looker. I love the light blue dial markers and nice lume. It sits a little smaller on my wrist than I'm used to, but hey, not every watch wears like a Panerai right?Build quality and fit'n'finish look really good. The bezel operates with solid clicks. These are just my initial impressions, as I haven't even had the watch for 24 hrs. But I'm really satisfied so far! Well-done Phoibos.

This watch looks absolutely beautiful. The detail in the dial and quality of the build is incredible for this price point. Could not be any happier with this purchase

They say that you can tell a lot about a man from his watch (David Coggins). This is very true about this timepiece. It is discrete but bold. The colors reflect the oceans and seas of the world. The watch feels and looks great on and off. I have purchased other dive watches including an Omega and Squale and I feel this sits perfectly at the table of excellency. If you are looking for a dive watch that has all the hallmarks of James Bond and iconic dive watches you will not be disappointed.

I like the looks of the watch. However, it runs fast. I find myself having to adjust the time every week. Expected better for the cost.
