Talking Indoor/outdoor Digital Thermometer and Alarm Clock, Voice Craft

This thermometer is very useful, and I can recommend it to others. I would caution buyers to be sure the wire for the outdoor sensor can be used through a door or window that will not damage the things wire, thus causing a short in the units outdoor reading.

It does everything it claims to do. I got it for my parents and they thoroughly enjoy it! It announces the temp every hour for as long as you want it too!

I got this talking thermometer for my blind dad. He loves it! Its loud and clear. The temperatures are accurate and doesn't take up too much space. However, a few months of having the device, it randomly announces the temperatures. I would say almost every hour and not evenly spaced time. One announcement would be at 1:36 AM the next would be at 3:24 AM, and so on. Then about 70% of the time it announces the wrong temperatures like now in Dec it would say, "IT IS 104 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OUTSIDE AND 47 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT INSIDE". It can get annoying if it's in an area you are in the majority of the time. But before that, it was amazing to have.

I bought this for my dad who has Macular Degeneration, and has a hard time reading thermometers and clocks. He has it sitting right next to his bed, so he can check the temperature any time he wants! Works great!

We had a talking thermometer for years and loved it. It finally bit the dust....so we purchased another - choosing the Ultomost brand. Unfortunately for us, we received it but due to several things going on in our lives we didn't get around to hanging it on the wall and setting it up right away. When we did --- it didn't work. Some lights went on, then nothing.... We tried several different types of batteries but still no go..Since we no longer have the packaging and bought it in March, I think we're SOL.... (Sadly out of luck)

I bought this unit to replace a cheap one I had for years. My old unit would clearly and audibly intone the temperature, but this one has an extremely annoying voice which is barely audible and also buzzes. The lady sounds as if she is really depressed and would rather not announce the temperature, but since she has to, does it grudgingly and with remorse. I mainly just read the temperature on the display now.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my visually impaired mother who turned 100 in October. She also has some trouble hearing, so I was not sure it would be something she could use. But the voice on this is loud enough and clear enough for her to hear and she loves it. Now she knows how to dress before venturing outside and I feel that makes her a little safer. There are several functions to choose from, but she wanted it specifically to tell her the outside temperature and it has been very accurate for that.

We've had one of these in our house for over 15 years. And the old one just went silent. We like the fact that it broadcasts the inside and outside temps. It's a good conversation piece when you have guests and it goes off. It appears to be fairly accurate - I guess I would recommend it to someone if they are into something a little different.
