The media could not be loaded.  I find “Made in the UK” written on the machine but "Made in China" on the Power supply. When I shake the machine, it makes some noise like parts of the machine are loose. The machine is not like a new one because the coating next to removable front was worn away. I can see the wires directly on the reverse side of the machine. The included plug adapter does not apply to Australian sockets, but for Chinese sockets. Anyway, DO NOT BUY IT !!!!!!

still not seeing a difference, only allows 10 shocks before completely shutting down. Not worth the money!

Works great and fast still not hair free but I had very coare like horse hair coarse and it is patchy and where their is air it is thin and barly notice able. I barley shave any more!! I recommend it

This really is working well for me. It has taken several goes so far on the legs, but well worth the effects. For me, it seems to work best on areas I've not been shaving for years. (My legs fall under the shaved for years category, so not as fast as upper lip, which had good results in just a couple of times. Just recently tried forearms as well and that has worked the best of all areas for me. I don't feel any sensitivity except on a tattoo on my ankle and around bikini area, both smart for a few seconds and that's it. Very pleased overall.

This is absolutely great!I'm 8 weeks into the recommended 12 week initial treatment and cant believe the results so far. I noticed a difference from the first treatment, but the results are just getting better and better. You need to shave your legs before using the device, but to be honest now there is hardly anything left to shave! By the time I am ready for my next treatment there are just a few small patches of fine hair left, nothing like it was before.I am very dark haired, with olive skin, and had hair literally everywhere. My hair is thick, coarse and dark. I have used the device on my face, underarms and legs and the reduction in all areas has been brilliant. My legs and face are almost hair free where I have treated, my underarms are loads finer and hardly anything is growing back now. I think this will be an area that takes a bit longer to completely eradicate but I'm keen to persevere and see how I get on, the results so far are great anyway, with far far finer hair and nowhere near as much of it.I know some reviews have said this is painful, I don't think it is, you get the odd 'twang' off the device but its only momentary and you can use the sensitive mode if it gets too much, I've never found I have needed to though. My underarms seem to be the worst for it, but as I say they are only brief and I still don't find it anywhere near as painful as waxing or epillating.I would highly recommend the product, and can't wait to see how much better the results become towards the end of my first block of treatment.

I bought this several months ago and decided i would wait some time to see whether it worked. I have dark skin and thought it would not have much of an effect. Its very simple to use. Depending on the area you want to use it, it doesnt take long at all. I use it on my facial area. It has taken about 3 months and i have recently noticed a change. In that there has been reduction in facial hair. I use it weekly. I will keep using it and hope that the hair will disappear completely. I have given 3 stars for this reason i think it is worth it for hair reduction but not if you are looking for hair free. It is expensive for the results given in my case.

I have dark hair and very light skin, this works perfectly and now after 3 months hardly any hair growth and only use machine monthly and even then not really needed... Best hair removal kit out there

I am now 3/4 weeks into my initial treatment plan and I cannot recommend the SmoothSkin Gold enough. After debating whether to go for the cheaper SmoothSkin bare or the gold I am so happy that I went with the more powerful option. I saw results after the very first treatment on my legs; the hair became softer and the re-growth was at least 2 x slower than it would be naturally. After 4 treatments the results just keep getting better, my hair growth continues to get thinner, slower and I have many patches on my legs where the re-growth has practically stopped completely (The photo shows my leg 7 days after my last treatment, with no shaving in between). I have also been using the Smoothskin gold on my armpits which has shown slower results (likely because the hair is thicker) but I can still definitely see a reduction in re-growth. My skin is very pale and reaches the highest power level on the smoothskin sensor, plus my hair is very dark so this machine is particularly effective for me.In terms of usability, the device is quite chunky, and so sometimes you have to rotate it to get into an awkward place, but otherwise I find it really easy to use. It does take about 20-30 minutes to complete a treatment on my legs and armpits but I actually find the whole process really therapeutic, so finding the time isn't a problem as I actually look forward to it!It's definitely not a quick fix but so so worth it, if you're as fed up with waxing and shaving as I was then you won't regret investing in one of these!
