Modern Sprout Growbar V2 Grow Light- Smart Indoor LED Growlight

I don’t get a lot of natural light in my home so I’m always looking for a good grow light for my plants. This light comes with two LED strips adhered to a metal casing. The chord is a good length, not too short. This lamp does come with a downloadable app, but I have not used it since I don’t have a purpose to dim the brightness of this light. In terms of brightness, for the price, I would have expected a brighter light. I held the light about 6-7 inches away from my light meter and anything further gave a ‘low’ light reading. The lamp itself is also pretty heavy due to the metal casing. The product does come with two Velcro adhesive circles to install this light, but I have added more because due to the weight and heat that this gives off, I do not feel comfortable that only two small circles will hold this up. Also, this light gets HOT. I don’t have any other grow lights that get this hot. I turned on the lamp to take 5 pictures for this review and it was already almost too hot to touch. It also arrived with a few scratches (last pic), which honestly wouldn’t bother me too much, but for this price you would expect something packed a little better so that it would arrive with no scratches. Due to the heat that this lets off, maybe this is a better option to hang from a bar, rather than to adhere to a bookshelf or cabinet.

Once you set up your account and verify your e-mail address and pair up, you have 2 types of options. The first is you can utilize the types of shades of light.Partial shade on at 8:00A.M.-4P.M. offPartial sun on at 8:00A.M.-8:00P.M. offFull sun on at 8:00A.M.-12:00A.M. offThen the custom setting is by the minute for start time and finish at the times you choose Sunday through Saturday at the brightness level you choose.You can turn on and off manually as well but there are no adjustments you can make.This Modern grow light is an excellent light for getting plants ready for harvest time while freeing up your own time. Great grow light!

This light is bright, and my plants seem to like it, though no more than some cheaper ones. The App is easy to use, but It has too many other issues that take away points. It has no cover over the LEDs, and they are falling out of the housing. They only give you one piece of velcro to mount it with.

Purchased these lights to assist with the seedlings that I have been starting to grow, and seeds that we are germinating to supplement some of the natural light we lose at home.They were super easy to set up and use, 3 LED lights which are not that bright that they light up the whole room but give a nice focus onto the seedlings like a little burst of sunshine!Wall mountable too which fixes them more secure and projects a more focused light.Once plugged in one button controls the 3 lights, and they are compact to ideal in a small space. But the size does not detract from the value of quality of the product.Waterproof with a clear case over the lights these are durable and safe and were exactly what we were looking for.I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking forLED grow lights based on my experience and the lower than average price point. I have MANY grow lights for my expansive indoor jungle...I liked the idea of this one and the use of an app to control and see what's going on. However, it's honestly a very dim light. I don't see how this will help my fruiting plants and maybe this can be used on some of my smaller plants or my micro greens. I expected a full spectrum bright lighting. I also don't like how hot this lamp is getting and I don't know that I can really trust it on its' own. This is a meh grow light to me and for the price ($99.00 at time of review) I feel like the light should be more full and bright...and details like heat dissipation should be figured out and fine tuned.
