Garage didn't have a vent so I drilled it out with a hole saw and this beautiful vent slid right in with no issues. Added a little silicone caulking before inserting it, screwed it in and my dryer is running great. A+

I don't know why more louvered dryer exhaust hoods don't have a similar design. The outer frame fixes permanently to your siding, but the louvers are on a hinged inner frame so that you can swing it up in order to clean the duct from the outside.Anyway, it's exactly what I was looking for.Side note: I got shipped the wrong item the first time but returned it and got the right item with no hassle and no delay. Thanks.

I installed an identical vent a few years ago. It deteriorated from exposure to the sun and weather. Replaced it with this new unit. This time I spray painted it to help protect it. Overall this is a good design for cleaning however the plastic is extremely thin, no screws or caulk are included and the vent pipe is cheesy and ill fitting. Also, the vent is easily distorted when screws are tightened causing the vanes to not open properly. Overall this thing should be much better quality considering the price.

Very simple to install. Outside flaps close and seal when not in use.

Works but cheaply built.

With the old dryer vent cover we noticed a very cold draft in the washer/ dryer area. With this vent cover, there was no longer a draft, and it was very easy to install.

I gave it five stars because it was just as I expected. Like many others, the fact that you can open the louvers to clean inside is a big plus. The mounting holes did not line up with places on my bricks where it would have been easy to install screws so I had to drill new mounting holes. I expected that so no big deal. I do wish they would have included a fitted bit of flashing to fit on the inside of the wall where the duct comes out.
