This conversion kit uses AMP Research Model# 75101-01A, which is originally for ‘03-09 Ram 2500/3500 Quad Cabs, and converts it to fit ’94-02 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks. Also fits ’94-01 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks. Note: Regular Cab Rams require a large hole or slot to be drilled for the mounting insert, otherwise installation is identical to extended cabs and is not difficult for either model. I have not confirmed if other AMP Research models’ of steps will work with this conversion kit so it is strongly suggested to use the model mentioned above. Great product!Simple install on my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500.Instead of using the magnetic switches, I tapped the factory door jamb switches to activate the steps.Driver side: TN (tan) wire to VT (violet) AMP Research wirePassenger side: TN/RD (tan/red) to VT/YL (violet/yellow) AMP Research wire

Superior Product Well Made Perfect on my 2002 2500
Thought I was out of luck replacing my factory tube type steps. Internet searching found this great adapter kit to use on 2nd Gen Rams in conjunction with the AMP power steps. For ease of installation I used the magnetic switches provided in the kit but will probably change to truck's door switches at some future date to clean everything up. Kit is well thought out, nicely finished, has wonderful directions and is priced competitively. Installation was super easy, I used a 3/8 burr in an air grinder to cut the slots required, worked perfect. Highly recommend this product!!!
