These provide noise reduction, but I can't quantify the amount. I have used ear 'muffs' until now and they are probably better but a bit awkward to use. These banded devices should make it easier to use a full face shield or eye protection. I found the pressure applied to the ear to be high, so I stretched it over an open flame to improve comfort.

These earplugs provide protection against loud noises, which is exactly what I needed for both work and recreational activities. These earplugs effectively reduce noise without completely blocking out important sounds. Very handy, the only thing I didn't like is that they really cut off all sound and it made me paranoid when I'm walking around in the facility.

Don’t care for the fit on the ear. Like the old puffy ones.

I don’t like bulky big ear muffs and these work great. They stay put and don’t loose their seal for protecting my ears from 22 cal up to 50 BMG.

Very uncomfortable to wear daily. They do not fit well and the headband is way too small. Get some foam plugs on a string , these are horrible.

Got for disposable, careless use. Decent product for a good value. Will be buying more.

With this product you get a lot of pieces for the price. The problem is that they really don't block out much noise. I sometimes have to work in a very noisy industrial plant with giant machinery all around me. It gets LOUD. The sound filters that I usually use were on backorder, so I ordered these to use in the meantime. They blocked out some noise, but you really need to position them just so to get the desired effect. Sometimes they create a suction in my ear that makes them slightly uncomfortable to remove. That's a lot of trouble. I think most people just want to stick these in their ears, and then remove them easily when they're done with them. That wasn't the case in my experience. Nobody's ears are the same, so maybe these just didn't fit my ears, but they may be perfect for someone else's. I stopped using these and ended up using a pair of giant and awkward over the earmuff sound blockers that were in my office. I can only rate these from my experience, so 2 stars it is for inconvenience and poor performance.
