Pricey, and worth every penny.
Hoofpick's aren't exactly glamorous items. We run a little horse farm, and have worked with horses for about a bit over thirty years. I've owned a lot of cheap ones, and used everything from screwdrivers to nails to get the job done. I got one of these in my Christmas stocking a few years ago. It's comfortable, has an excellent grip, and makes picking hooves as quick and efficient as possible. Every time I go to a big show, someone seems to borrow one of these, and they seldom come back. I suppose that's as good a recommendation as you can get. They'll return my fancy show saddles, lead ropes, halters or whatever else but the hoofpick disappears. Of course, I'll buy more. They're that good.

Super Sturdy Hoof Pick for Little Hands
Santa gave this ULTIMATE HOOFPICK "The Jackhammer Jr" to my daughter in her stocking this year! No more hoof pick getting bent out of shape and trying to reshape it in the cold and then having it break! This product delivers like no other and I'm going to purchase one in the Adult Version for her Trainer. Has a nice rubber type handle (Jr version smaller in size for kids smaller hands) to prevent slipping and of course the different color choices with fancy hot pink being the choice for my 10 year old daughter! Color choices: PINK, BLUE, YELLOW. Only con: No Brush attached. More costly than others, but you won't have to repurchase like the other ones, so in my eyes it's a wash and saves a lot of frustration!
