Perfect, and strong.
I had tried two other gate clasps for our barn door, both breaking where the screws went through the metal. These are more expensive than what is sold commercially in the store, but so worth it!I had to buy two sets as we use one to keep the door closed, but also needed a clasp end on the side fence to keep the door open for when we are moving stuff in and out.

Secured my shed
My double barndoor shed had a bolt-action latch that just gave up when the big winds came, and the shed doors flew open. The flip latch secured the doors even in the highest winds, so my other latch is just an ornament now. Good, sturdy latch!

Works but rather loud
Used on thick wood French style doors. A but tricky to install, to get both pieces to align. Once installed it works fine, though it is very loud to open/close because of the slide design.

Latch is OK, but do not use the screws that come with the latches.
A few things to know about this product. 1. The latches are just fine and work as intended. 2. The screws are made from junk metal, of eight screws I installed into a thin aluminum, pre-drilled, screen door frame, three of them (38%) snapped off while only partially installed (see picture). I did not over-torque them, they snapped with low force. This will create a real problem for most as the broken tip of the screw is now embedded with no head. I STRONGLY recommend you purchase after-market screws if you are drilling into anything but pre-drilled wood. Lastly, although I lined up the holes door to door, the latch does rest level. If you want your latch level, mark the holes with latch leveled. (see pic).
