AC/DC at their best.
What posessed record executives to mutilate the original TNT? They hacked out ROCKER and SCHOOL DAY only to graft in lame songs from the original HIGH VOLTAGE (a record of interest only to AC/DC completists), and then they marketed the resulting Frankenstein's monster as "HIGH VOLTAGE" to an unsuspecting world. TNT is flawless the way it was originally released in Australia. Every song is top-tier, from the first chord of "It's a Long Way to the Top" to the bass fill at the end of "School Day." Sadly, the high price and relative rarity of this disc mean that few non-Australian AC/DC fans will hear it--if they even know it exists. This is the first album to feature the classic lineup of Angus and Malcolm young, Bon Scott, Mark Evans, and Phil Rudd. Though Evans's sonic imprint on the band is not deep, the three albums he played on--TNT, DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP, and LET THERE BE ROCK--represent AC/DC at their raw and hungry best. In comparison POWERAGE and HIGHWAY TO HELL sound slick and calculated. If you love the Bon Scott years of AC/DC, you owe it to yourself to hear this album. This is as good as AC/DC gets. And that's very, very good.

Awesome Find!
AC/DC has always been one of my favorite bands growing up. TNT is probly my favorite AC/DC song, and this album is my favorite with Bon Scott. When I came across this album a while back I instantly wanted it. Note: The American release, High Voltage, is basically the same album as this and is a lot cheaper. BUT, AC/DC is one of my all time favorite bands and spending the extra money on this version was well worth it. If you love AC/DC especially this album, I would reconmend it to anyone.

Pure Acca Dacca...
AC/DC's 1975 album was their second "official" release. This time Aussie rock producers Vanda and Young where behind the desk giving the album a lo-fi independent sound that was heavier than the first album and much more rawer than the anything from the late 70's (never mind from the Brian Johnson period). If any album could be nominated from classic album status "T.N.T" would get the vote. Containing everything from rock anthem singles -- It's A Long Way To The Top, High Voltage, T.N.T -- , the manic guitar onslaught of "Rocker", the hard-as* "Live Wire" which rolls on down the highway on route 666 and a more aggressive revival of their early days with the glam stomp "Can I Sit Next To You Girl".For overseas fans who are interested in the band's "local" era THIS is the album to listen to.NOTE: This CD version has been slightly edited due to using remastered tracks from the U.S albums. The differences between the original LP are that three of the tracks fade out earlier - "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" is shorter, "Rocker" also fades out instead of the dramatic cut out (think The Beatles 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)), "High Voltage" fades out instead of naturally ending with a sustained guitar note followed by studio chat which leads onto "School Days" (in this context - "School Day's" works better as it comes an encore studio jam). Even though these tracks have later been released on Bonfire and Backtracks, the 1986 Australian CD is the only place you'll find the original master uncut.

TNT . The Australian release and the best version
This is the best acdc album with Bon scott. The tunes on this album actually inspired me to learn the guitar. There just briliant. Also Bons voice is at its best here as well.On this CD there is a cover of the old Chuck Berry song School Days. This one really rocks, I also like the way that it starts off first with base and drums then rythim guitar then lead then a slight puase and the they all come in at the same time. One thing that I could recomend is a stronger base line and base drum, especially on songs like, Its a long way to the top. The guitars sound excellent but the base is kind ov weak , so it would be good to hear a remixed version with a more powerful base line and also a more powerful base drum. But still I would have to give this album 5 stars, it's a mind blowing experience listening to it and if you are a new fan just discovering acdc I suggest that you go out and get this one, thats the imported Australian version you won't be dissapointed.
