Tape Measure, 3/4 in x 12 ft, Chrome, Ft/in

I really have come to like this, it's a tough little steel, USA made, and light on my pocket tape. I have dropped it plenty of times to know is stands up to abuse. I do have my heavy duty work tapes (Stanley FatMax), but sometimes I just don't need that kind of size and weight. I bought this for my glove box but it's quickly becoming my everyday carry.Update: The tape lock stopped locking, opened it up, the lock is flemsy piece of broken plastic. Saddens me that they would make such a nice little tape and then cheapen it with a little brittle plastic lock. Good design ruined with a poor choice of material, some one should be fired. Let me know if you fix it.

It will measure things. Tape lock lasted less than a week and was never used in the field. Would be strong otherwise. Upon taking it apart, the plastic locking mechanism is just a really anemic design. Tried to buy a US product and on occasion you get burned. Craftsman has a US line of tape measurers, but not in this smaller size.

Looks and feels well-made. It has fairly strong spring tension. The manufacturer suggests using your thumb to slow the tape as it winds back. I would say that's a good idea.It has large print on the tape, especially on the first 12 inches.

Great tape and made in the US - what could be better. Just the right size to put in the pocket of your coveralls/coat.

Perfect size for most small projects, 3/4" blade a definite plus. Made in U.S.A. as well.

The tape measure itself had only one small issue (a burr of metal on the end tab that I took off in no time with a file). It works fine and the country of manufature works for me as well!
