A basic phone. All I need
I've never owned a smartphone, mainly because I would not be likely to use all the snazzy features which are included, to justify the exorbitant price. A basic, simple phone will do me just fine. My previous phone was showing signs of age, so I bought this new one. The recharging thingamajig that you put the phone in when not using it, is a great (if basic) feature. The sound the phone makes to alert you that a message has been received, or a phone call wants answering, is somewhat harsh in tone, but I don't consider that a problem. It's hard to not hear it.

Not a good buy
Very disappointed! Brought this for my 89 year old mum who wears hearing aids as 85% deaf. The description states hearing aid compatible but it is not T loop enabled so that’s a lie. Yes the buttons are bigger but it’s so hard to use for someone elderly. Having to unlock it by pressing 2 buttons simultaneously makes it more complicated than it needs to be. I struggled to change the time on it so mum definitely wouldn’t be able to do it. The camera is rubbish and any photo taken is a blur of colour. There is no option to connect to Wi-Fi to save money by Wi-Fi calling. Text messaging is fiddly and something my mum would not manage. I only selected this one because it stated easy for elderly and hearing aid compatible, but it’s neither so basically wasted the money when I could have bought something similar from Argos for half the price.

A large button mobile with extras!
After my elderly father was struggling with his old phone due to the battery expiring, I bought him what I thought was a similar, but more updated Nokia - however, he kept getting very frustrated with the buttons being too small and found it difficult to text so we ended up getting a new battery for his old mobile! However, this poor old phone has now expired and what were originally buttons are now just "stalks", the display screen is just too small for his 82 year old eyes to focus on and he has become reliant once more on his old landline phone to make calls and cannot text.I work with an elderly lady who has one of these big button mobiles and after assisting her a couple of times with it, I thought a larger button, more basic mobile phone would be the perfect replacement for my dad.I am actually surprisingly impressed with this phone tbh! The buttons are much larger than the standard "cheap" mobile phones and don't use the touch screen that so many of the more modern phones tend to use now, but this comes with a much larger screen than he has been used to, bluetooth and a low resolution camera (you will need to add a memory card to contain any form of photos or music). It can run dual sim (not sure why that would be necessary on an older persons phone but an amazingly cheap option if you have the need for a second (or even a 3rd!) phone/number. It's only a 2g phone, but I have tried O2, Virgin and GiffGaff SIM cards in the phone and all connected immediately. You can slide the phone into a dock as opposed to trying to find the cable attachment (again, great for older eyes), but the best thing that I absolutely *love* about this mobile is the SOS option. You can set up to 5 contacts for the SOS and upon testing, this will text/phone the contacts in order of priority. It will send a text "I need help" from the phone to the first contact and if no response will then call that person. If still no reply, it moves on to the 2nd, then 3rd etc. As my dad's partner was taken into care last year, we found her "doorbell" an amazing asset but prior to that, my dad would try and text me for help. This could be difficult if he was trying to pick her up from the floor for example. Now he lives alone, I think this option on the phone will be an invaluable asset as all he will need to do is press and hold the SOS button. Even for a false alarm, (better to be safe than sorry), I think this option is invaluable for the more vulnerable.I haven't shown my dad how to use the torch, radio, calculator and calendar options yet but so far, so good!

Easy phone for elderly but sound quality is poor
I bought this for my mum as she lives on her own, the landyard is great, she wears it round her neck & can press the SOS button in an emergency. Unfortunately the sound quality is poor, mum wears hearing aids but couldn't hear at all. She will use the phone like a careline, once the SOS button is pressed it sends a text msg to ALL the SOS listed numbers, it then phones the 1st person (me!) & mum can tell me what the problem is even though she won't hear me, If I don't answer it will phone the next SOS person & so on. Phone would have even perfect other than the sound quality.

Good basic phone with a nice screen.
It's a decent phone, but I bought it as an emergency phone for an elderly parent and the menus are just not as intuitive as I would like. For example, to get the list of contacts requires you to go through the menus and is 2 or 3 clicks away - it should only need to be one click away. Similarly to activate the small torch.Good points are the screen, the charging stand, the size, the price, the SOS button.
