More for indoor safety than for use on a building site.....
My safety trainers arrived without a box and in a zip lock plastic bag.The main part of the shoe seems to be made from a mesh that has been bonded to a more dense lining material, and only the heel section is made from some kind of synthetic leather. The inner sole is slightly padded and comfortable underfoot. The 'Kevlar' midsole should afford protection against punctures, and the rubber sole is flexible and quiet on hard surfaces. It has more of a textured tread than rugged ridges, and I would definitely class them as indoor safety shoes rather than outdoor trekking or work boots. The steel toecap is generously sized and not at all obvious. Overall, they increase your height by about one and a quarter inches. The 'tongue' is elasticated and integrated in such a way that they are more akin to slip-on shoes, and they could be used without even tying the laces. The thick woven laces are threaded through exterior loops which makes them very comfortable as there are no real pressure points.I find these shoes to be quite stylish and comfortable to wear for long periods and my feet don't seem to overheat or sweat. They are also much lighter than others I have had in the past. Learning from previous experience, I ordered a larger size than I normally would purchased and am happy to say that they fitted perfectly.

You wouldn’t know they were different
My eldest daughter works in a nightclub. Her uniform is all black, as well as black trainer shoes. Every weekend her feet were bleeding and sore, her toenails are black from people standing on her. So ... these are perfect for the job. I’ve not given my actual final thoughts yet, as they are for giving to my daughter. However, my first impression is that these shoes just look like trainer shoes which is fabulous. Long gone are the days that safety shoes were huge, heavy and very clunky. The ties are solid on these trainers and they appear well made. I will report back when my 17 year old has given a full work out for them, I just wanted everyone to know that these shoes looked good.** edited to add that these shoes are going good, my daughter’s toe are healing and she loves not having them trampled on and bruised every week at work. **

Great for 12 hour hospital shifts
*update after 5 months use*So after 5 months walking around a hospital M-F over 3 sites the insole has warn out as you can see in the picture, so I purchased some school gel activ work all day insoles, and they now have a new lease of life! Super comfortable even more than they were!A great buy that should keep them going for another 5 months at least! You can see the soles have little wear also!So verdict is yes I would defo purchase again once these have walked there last step!*original review below*After reading some of the reviews I was worried but my fears were unfounded!I work 12 hour shifts 5 days a week having had these for almost a month and wearing them for every shift in the hospital over 3 buildings on site, I can say not only are they super comfortable but they also have no sign of any wear! It’s like walking on a cloud, and they protect your toes had a few trolly beds hit them and nothing! All those saying they are rubbish I would say they are not designed for building sites more indoor work or walking from building to building etc

Strong lightweight shoes with steel caps.
These are comfortable shoes with soft upper fabric and steel toe caps. The Black #6 I purchased have a smart appearance and look good with trousers, without looking like you are wearing trainers.

Light and comfortable.
I have only been wearing them for a few weeks, they are very comfortable and light weight, the sole is a little thin, (I bought a 1/2 size bigger than I would normally would) this works well with the insert I put in them, the toes could do with a bumper on the out side as I have already warned through the covering ( I work on old building conversions ). The draw elastics are not very strong and to be practical I don’t think they will last a year, only time will tell.

Top quality
Really pleased with these. Bought them for work (retail/warehouse). Normal trainers or shoes were only lasting me a month 6 weeks tops due to long time spent walking. Shoes for long periods of time was also damaging my feet, these are super comfortable and breathable. Even after a 9 hour shift my feet are fine and on the mend. I have been wearing them now for 5 weeks and they are as new as day 1.Will Definitely be buying another pair when these have their day.

Lightweight steel toe cap
Got these over the weekend and wore them at work today (Monday 4 May)8am-5pmAs im a gardener i tend to spend quite a bit of time on my feet at work . I saw this item on a social media platform and thought id investigate and see if they were as good as all the reviews said. Im a bit sceptical about reviews as i know some can be fake. Anyway after putting them on once id driven to work i found them unbelievably light . Normally my feet let me know that im wearing new boots/ shoes by giving me big blisters within a few hours . Not these bad boys . Comfy as hell and not a blister in sight. I could possibly say that for new work trainers these are the best ive ever worn. Would highly recommend

Great for gym
Ordered these in a UK 10 with the Black #6 Option. They fit snug and perfect first time and look fantastic. The steel toecaps have some weight to them but the rest of the shoe is soft and light, so it's not really safety wear. What they are perfect for is lifting in the gym- the soles are flat so deadlifts and squats are great in here without the risk of crunching or dropping weights on my toes while still letting me go for a run on the treadmill
