NLT Life Application Study Bible Black/Onyx Imitation Leather – 1 Jun. 2016

I have purchased a lot of bibles and this one has become my favourite. It is large and I wish it was smaller so I could fit it in my bag more often. Smaller and thicker would be fine with me. :) I love the feel of the pages too. :)

Bought this for my Mum who had worn out her previous copy. The application part of this Bible is so very relevant would recommend it

I actually bought this from another company but I thought it would be useful to post a review. I had shopped around a little before choosing this particular one. Having already had a new NLT bible I was keen to stick to a translation I felt happy with and to try a life application bible.I paid £33.65 so the price was competitive and the packing and delivery was excellent. I love the content of this bible, I have a few bibles but this is the one I look forward to reading. The notes at the bottom of the pages really bring things to life, so no issues with the actual content.I chose this size but it is a little bulky but l love the feel of the imitation leather and embossed cover. However I do have a couple of issues with the quality, hence the 4* review. Less the 48hrs after I took delivery of the item the cover started to split away from the bible. I had not been rough with the bible so was really surprised. I also found the ribbon frayed very quickly, it had frayed around 3/4 inch in less than a week. This shortened the bookmark and nesesitated a repair job with cellotape.The end had obviously not been finished off with glue to stop this happening.I did contemplate sending the bible back, I was a little disapointed, but because I loved the cover and was really impressed with the content I was reluctant to part with it. I just wanted to make potential customers aware of this problem. I know that US customers had flagged this issue before. I am sure if had chosen to contact the seller there would not have been a problem returning it, so it not a criticism of the seller. I am now looking for a personal size version as I wish to have a smaller version whilst travelling.

I really enjoy the new living translation of the Bible. It is a thought for thought translation and really brings home the meaning of concepts and words used in Scripture. I also really love the life application portion of the study Bible. It is for the purpose of challenging people to live out their faith in an every day manner that can make a difference not only in their own lives but in the lives of others. I realize I could’ve simply downloaded the new living translation, but there is something about holding a book and reading study notes associated with the scripture passage that you are working with that makes it a very special interaction between oneself and the written word. I would highly recommend this Bible, whether or not you enjoy the new living translation.

I’m so glad I ordered this bible! I have been reading the Bible for the first time and something’s I just wasn’t understanding. This was so helpful and well put together. I read several reviews and waited for it to go on sale prior to purchasing. Although it’s to large to take to church I do take it to my bible study class and read at home. It would be great if it would lie flat and the cover didn’t seem so inexpensive but the content is worth the price.

I love this Bible, but unfortunately I have to give away as a gift. Even with my glasses, the print is ridiculously small and see through, thin paper.I understand there's a lot to pack into this powerful book, but some sacrifices just can't be made.Praying I can find LARGE PRINT.Thank God I have it on my mobile!

Disappointed this was not the entire 72 book bible. It is protestant bible study. I was so excited to get this based on a personal referral. We just heard from the book of Wisdom in church on Sunday and encouraged to read the full book to understand to context. This was not included. This is only 66 book study bible. I want to know about the entire bible.

Bought in April of 2018. Bible started coming apart on Sept 8th 2018 , The binder pulling away , not glued correctly??? This was over 50.00 . This should not have happened.. I will never order from this Company again... Patricia D. Preuss

My husband and I both have this Bible. By far this is the one we study from the most. The explanations and the historic information found at the bottom of each page has helped us grasp a better understanding. Our son has moved and requested the same Bible.

A very satisfying Bible. This Bible is packed with extra information on the people and places of the Bible and there are notes which explain the meanings of the verses which are most helpful. Notes also include information concerning the original languages. The information provided in this Bible will help a person in their walk with the Lord.

THIS IS GOD' PRECIOUS WORD WRITTEN SO THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND IT AND CHERISH IT. I believe everyone should have this Bible, no matter how many other translations or versions they may have. The translation scholarship is the very best and can be trusted fully. Best of all, readers can finally understand what GOD is revealing to us and how we should respond. It gives us the necessary tools to carry our assignment in Matthew 28:19-20. GOD has blessed this Bible!!!

I love reading the Bible and this one helps explain in detail. Plenty of sections to explore more m awnings for verses. This was so easy to use when getting back to bible study!

Love this version of the Bible...The moment I read it..it was hard to put it down...and always excited to get home from work and read it. It gave me a clearer understanding of the Bible...
