◆  Most People Are Honest but it Only Takes a Few Bad Apples to Ruin Your Day – The statistics on airport theft can be surprising.  While most people at airports are simply trying to get from point A to point B, a relatively small number of thieves can end up stealing quite a few possessions. Take JFK international airport for example.  An investigation in 2012 found that there are over 200 thefts at this airport every single day.  ◆  Airline Compensation Doesn’t Always Cut It - Many passengers assume that airlines will compensate them for any items which go missing during their trip.  Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.  Passengers with missing items valued over $150.00 have to show “provable loss” by providing a receipt.  Do you have the original receipt for all of your valuable items such a jewelry or expensive suits?◆  Some Things Can’t be Replaced – My husband loves to take pictures when our family goes on vacation.  He uses a portable hard drive to store these pictures when the storage card on his camera gets full.  The cost of hard drive is small but the memories stored on it are priceless.  There are many items we travel with that have a personal value to us that can’t be replaced.  The same can be said about work related information.◆  Carry-on Luggage is No Exception – Most travelers put their high value items in their carry-on luggage.  This carry-on luggage, whether it’s a small suitcase or backpack, is especially vulnerable after arriving at your final destination.  Will you be taking a crowded bus or subway to your hotel? Thieves know that people traveling from the airport to a hotel will likely have expensive goods in their backpacks or carry-on suitcases.  It makes a great deal of sense to secure these bags during the final leg of your trip.

Easy to Use
I've bought various TSA approved locks before, but since I keep losing the things or the keys to them, I decided to shop for some extra locks for an upcoming trip. I took a chance with this set of locks and here is my experience:Pros-Locks are easy enough to use. To set your combination, you just move a small metal lever on the lock, set your combo, and move the lever back. That's it. Since these are combo locks, I find it nice that you don't need to carry a set of keys to open them.-The red button to indicate if the TSA opened your lock is a nice touch.-The price for this many TSA locks seems reasonable. Not super, but not too bad, either. reasonable price, great overall for added touch of security, no key neededCons-There is no way to tell one lock apart from another. If you set a different combo to them, you need to remember which combo belongs to which lock or you have to mark them somehow. I recommend that you reset your locks back to a default combination after you're done using them so that you ensure you can continue using them.-Although the locks are easy to use overall, I found it mildly annoying to switch the metal lever on the lock back and forth in order to set a combo. Because of the lever's small size, you need to use something that's just right in size so that your tool doesn't slip off the lever and you can pry it up to the other side. Some pen or pencil tips may work, but some may not work so well. I always resorted to using a small, flat tool on my multitool or Swiss Army knife.-These locks also don't come with a backup key to help you access your luggage if you forget your combo. If that opens, I don't believe there's any way for you to open your lock except by force.-These locks probably aren't very secure. The wire shackles seem like you could cut them with ordinary scissors if you just press hard enough. However, these locks are only meant for adding a touch of security to your luggage, so I don't hold security against this product too much.In summary, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Although I wish they were a touch more convenient in some respects, they certainly do their job.

Peace of mind and easy to use!
Love, love, love these luggage locks! I looked at dozens before deciding on these and I’m not disappointed at all! I set them all with the same combination to test them then used 5 on a week long conference in which I had to keep my items secure. These are easy to install and remove. I love that they have cables. Sure, these are easy to cut, but if someone wants in any lock they will get into it. These help keep honest people honest. They gave me peace of mind when leaving my belongings in a shared room to attend conferences. I purchased the ten pack to share with family members for our upcoming vacation. Please keep in mind that you must have the current combination to change the combination. It’s super easy but there is no way of using it if you forget the combination.

As advertised - 5 stars but very heavy body with really light cord
I am very happy with these locks. I had read some reviews with customer complaints but found them not accurate at least for the locks I received.Setting the locks was easy, although you do need to use a small, hard object to flip a switch but it was easy. Easy to open as well. I like how the cord is flexible. I personally like it long in this case because I am using it to go through four loops on my backpack,The downside is that the lock itself is very heavy given how light the cord is. And, I have not tested the cord but I cannot help but think any motivated their could use a small handheld tile to cut the lock, but maybe not... it just seems very thing but hey, it is really a deterrent as even a huge padlock can opened. I am pessimistic that they are equally as strong as a small metal lock, but again, I am no expert. Also, some people may find the loop too big. It depends on what you are using it for but you can wrap the cord to make it more secure and snug.I will give this a 5 because I think it does exactly what it says so no reason to knock it. I have been using two of mine and they have held up thus far and one I open repeatedly throughout the day. I just wish they did not weigh so much but again the weight is displayed so I should be responsible for that.

Perfect locks!
I needed to get locks with longer loops than what standard locks brought. This is perfect. I got six of them and they never leave my bags. The only drawback is that it appears that you can only lock the loop when the combination is in place. If you try to lock it and you don't have the right combination, it just won't lock. It's minor, so I'm still giving it 5 stars, but it would have been better that way.

Why didn't I purchase these sooner???
I travel often on biz trips overseas and have been using the regular master locks (the one with keys). On my last trip to Asia, I must've misplaced my keys on the way back, since I couldn't find it when I arrived back at home. What a hassle! I had to cut the lock open with a mini saw. After that incident I decided to buy a combination lock and found these. I received these in less than 2 days and found the instructions very simple and helpful. Basically you get to set the 3-code pin, meaning you can change it anytime you want. Some locks are set to a permanent codes which I didn't like. This one lets you reset and change. It's a bit on the heavy side but then again it states it can hold over 200lbs which is a plus. It's not a dinky little lock, very sturdy and well made. These are TSA approved so no need to worry about security checks from the crew. I will be purchasing some more for my parents to use on their trip to Hawaii next month.Very happy with purchase. Totally recommend!
