This product works after a few hours. Be aware that it does turn urine a reddish color but I have not had issues with staining.

I have to have these on hand for my interstitial cystitis flare ups. They help a lot. Remember that the package says 36 but you have to take 2 at a time so that's 18 doses not 36 doses. I have used this brand for several years now and prefer it over the other brands. It also helped tremendously when I had UTI's. Good for any woman to have in her medicine cabinet, but especially those with bladder issues or frequent UTI's. I keep a few in my purse for times that I am out and my bladder is causing me to have to run to the bathroom constantly. It helps calm the spasms and allow you to not have to find the bathroom in every place you visit while running errands. Drink a full glass or bottle of water when taking it to help get it where it needs to go and if you're having frequency issues or an IC flare up or UTI you'll be soon feeling some relief.

My doctor advised me to keep these on hand for frequent UTIs (caused by menopause) and take 2 tablets per dose until I can get into the doctor for antibiotics. Taking 2 provides the same dose of the active ingredient that my doctor prescribes for me. This cuts the pain and helps relax the muscles that spasm. Once you feel the beginning of a UTI, take this right away and then see a doctor as soon as you can. You will be glad you have these at home, especially if it starts happening late at night, or on a weekend. Be warned, it will turn your urine a dark orange color and will permanently stain clothing, so buy some liners as well.

These are lifesavers! You know that pain, it feels like you're peeing out shards of glass and you feel like you have to go constantly but you really don't? Well, I've had that happen a couple of times, once while I was out of state on vacation and twice on weekends where it took some time to reach the doctor. The pain is horrific, and even if you can get a prescription for antibiotics they take time get and to work, these will get rid of the pain almost immediately. You'll want to have these around if you gets frequent UTI's!

Certainly was not an instant relief like the over the counter pills use to be. Took at least a week to feel relief.

Uristat is the only urinary tract medication I trust. I have been using this product for almost 15+ years. There have been times when I have had a hard time finding this product in the local pharmacy which led me to trying other similar products. I have never been able to get any relief at all from those other products. Be warned that this will turn your urine a very bright orange color and can stain clothing and also the toilet if you are not careful. I highly recommend this product and always share my thoughts on it with friends if the subject comes up.

After having suffered from two resistant UTI's in one year, I have been very conscious of symptoms leading to early detection.
